Interesting to see in yesterdays telegraph- "Project fear was right all along"! "Call it revenge of the remainer establishment, if you like. The revolution in the british economy promised by leave campaigners 6 years ago finally seemed to go the way of all revolutionary movements last week, it ended up eating itself!Downbeat predictions in the treasury and others on the economic consequences of leaving the EU, contemptuously dismissed at the time by brexit campaigners as "project fear", have been on a long fuse, but they have turned out to be overwhelmingly correct, and ,if anything, have underestimated both the calamitous loss of international standing and the scale of the damage that six years of policy confusion and ineptitude has imposed onthe country! Who knew? Some of us did, perhaps jacob and nigel, together with bungle, did to- they just didn"t care!

Somebody mentioned on LBC that Jeremy Hunt was first out in the leadership contest , voted out with only 18 votes- now he is the knight in shining armour and all but running the country! And those same CON mps are lauding him!

Committed Brexiteers contend that the issues are wholly environmental and/or in the implementation of Brexit. Undoubtedly they are part correct as the referendum threw us into the hands of either scoundrels who "supported" the cause for their own purposes, or half wits. However there is little doubt that leaving is a primary cause for where we are now

Leave voters are only endorsing the views of Tony Benn and Corbyn so probably aren't Conservative voters anyway.

Oh contr"e Teddy- most leave voters were CONservative voters to! How can you say that when a main reason for the red wall was Labour's refusal to respect the 2016 vote? Displeasure with the EU was even accepted within the remain camp itself and many remain red wall voters would have voted Johnson simply out of annoyance with Labour not accepting and moving on....ironically something that is in large part down to people like Starmer.

But agreeing with the traditional Labour viewpoint. Yes, Corbyn was no fan of the EU, the corruption and bureaucracy- but i doubt he fore saw that our own CON government would turn out to be even worse, and quite blatantly lining their own pockets with billions! You can add Mick Lynch to the leave voters, so it"s not just a red v blue issue- buteither way- read yesterdays Telegraph article, not the guardian or mirror- to see what a calamity it"s been!
