Whenever you say with respect, I know you mean the opposite as it is a common used pre-invective so please don’t try and sound polite just for the sake of it. I have no interest in what other fans think or how much Palace knowledge they believe they have as they do not watch us week in, week out. If I was to go back through many of the match threads this season then I will find almost without exception, rants of yours complaining bitterly about our performances and yet when it comes to this particular thread you post virtually the same thing every time you come on and this time trying to reinforce it by saying there are other teams fans that think they know better. I do prefer to express my opinions with politeness and with respect to those who offer an alternative viewpoint so me being polite is certainly not confected in any shape or form. Of course my disappointment at an abject result and performance has been expressed with self-combustion and molten anger but in the cold light of day with emotions not as raw I have always considered the 'Bigger picture'. Apropos "Other fans", these are not people who are just devotees of other clubs, they are those who have a very good knowledge of the 'World' of football and I respect their opinions just as they do mine. In the final analysis, despite some of the dire performances, I give credit to what Mr Hodgson has done for our club and should we survive, which does seem likely, I will have NO qualms with him continuing next season. Thus, being pro Roy - as he is what we need at this point in our development and during the current economic crisis - I will now make a possibly anti Roy (not "Roy out" comment/query. One of the posters (on the Newcastle game thread) said that Palace were only the better team for about a quarter of the game. I think I know what he meant. We played some lovely passing football, Man City lite if you like, and completely bamboozled the opposition. I saw no evidence of us being exposed to the counter while we played that way. It was a showcase of what this squad could do and what, I suspect, causes so much anger among many of the fans who post on this thread. Better finishing and we could have been a hatful of goals up and then could have sat back and game managed. Or just kept going after e.g. putting Mateta on, the way Liverpool did against us. Why didn't we? Is it purely down to energy levels? Zaha's injury? I don't know. And many fans don't know. And until they do, the Roy out call will be loud and clear. Very often teams are on top and then they're not in games, usually through the influence of one or two very good players and then the opposing team through their endeavour or their manager putting a stop to it also the players in question getting out of breath, teams like Man.C have huge resources of good players on the pitch instead of just two or three so are able to press for the whole duration.

For the record I don't know tickledpink. If you want to make statements like that about me please back it up with facts. There are over half a million people who live in Cornwall and just because another poster does it doesn't make me a partner in crime.

There are entrenched positions amongst those on the 'Opposite sides of the house' with the protagonists sticking to their positions like Wrigley's Spearmint on a high heel.

Oh dear I am minded of Denis Healey’s famous put down of Geoffrey Howe. My pairing of yourself and Mr T Pink was nothing to do with where you lived but everything to do with the fact that it was the two of you who wanted this thread closed. Baaa
