I had a lot of respect for the guy when he decided to publically stay at Bournemouth the other day. If he now decides actually I want to go to Burnley that will then evaporate and I will feel really sorry for Bournemouth fans. You cant publicaly state how you dont want to leave the club then decide a few days later when a club with a lot of money come in actually I do. That will show he is a man more about money than I thought.

Don't reckon it's about money - more about potential. Burnley are a bigger club in a better postion. End of story.

Charlton are below Bournemouth in the league - we're five or six places above them. I think that was his main concern.

Cherries fans will still be gutted, but I think he's been naive rather than greedy. Shouldn't have made the public comments about staying with Bournemouth that the did.

These are valid points, but the fact he dressed up the decision to stay because "it was too hard to leave the players, the fans, the club" etc and not because "those job offers weren't any good" doesn't wash if he then ups sticks to go to Burnley.

Well, they do to a certain extent - it is far easier to be loyal when you're uncertain about the alternatives. But, essentially, you are right. He should not probably not have made those comments but just stated that he did not want to move to Palace or Charlton.

If he does end up at Burnley - I think his biggest regret will be the way he dealt with the press after turning us down because there is no doubt that he has a genuine loyalty to Bournemouth - his career record speaks for itself.

I think he's probably got a Gentleman's Agreement to speak to clubs who come in for him.

Fair enough. I would want at least the opportunity to hear what another employer had to say.

It's all speculation so far. He's turned down Peterborough, Southampton, Charlton, Palace and maybe some others... he'll turn down Burnley too.

...we must expand...get more pupils...so that the knowledge will spread...

More money, more history of success (albeit distant), better players and a higher average attendance by around 2,000. Right now, they are a bigger club than us.

Excatly he made it out that he hadnt refused to jobs because of money and league position but because he decided at the end of the day he didnt want to leave Bournemouth. I dont even think its fair to the Bounremouth fans for him to go for an inteview at Burnley he made it publically known that he had decided to stay at Bournemouth not then to join Burnley a couple of days later.

Burnley has a population of a little over 60,000.Football means everything to them as they have f*** all else.

They are historically a much bigger club than us I'm afraid and are currently in a better (albeit not by much) position than ourselves.

Still doesn't make what EH is doing right mind you.

"Burnley have been without a manager since sacking Brian Laws on 29 December."

Hope syd doesn't read that, dunno if his ticker could stand the inefficiency.

Goodness is what you do. Not who you pray to.
