Didn't he sign a contract extension after choosing to stay with AFCB? Not that that would necessarily stop him leaving, but if I was a cherries fan right now I'd be pretty f*cked off if he did jump ship after the shenanegins of the last week.

Couldnt really care less if he goes now tbh.. we have been there he turned us down so we move on.. Dougie is our new manager and that is all that matters. Howe obviously wasnt right for us other wise he would be in Dougies shoes now. Feel for Bournemouth fans that he would do this to them though. Its not much of a challenge managing Burnley, they have a strong squad and should easily be at the top of this league.

I had a lot of respect for the guy when he decided to publically stay at Bournemouth the other day. If he now decides actually I want to go to Burnley that will then evaporate and I will feel really sorry for Bournemouth fans. You cant publicaly state how you dont want to leave the club then decide a few days later when a club with a lot of money come in actually I do. That will show he is a man more about money than I thought.

Fancy some more do you? Latest - 9.01am: Neil Perrett exclusively breaks the news that Burnley are understood to have made an official approach for Eddie Howe.

Charlton are below Bournemouth in the league - we're five or six places above them. I think that was his main concern. Cherries fans will still be gutted, but I think he's been naive rather than greedy. Shouldn't have made the public comments about staying with Bournemouth that the did.

In far and distant page on this thread I said I always thought Burnley were the danger to him not coming here with their parachute money for the next 3˝years. He signs a fat say.. 3˝year contract and he only has to be half the manager he's been to get them up, hometown boy arguments withstanding of course. that blog might be interesting reading now..

This is probably a publicity stunt by The Bournemouth Echo to drive visitors to their WEB site - just apparently, World War Two was a publicity stunt by Vera Lynne's agent!
