This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle I think the Arse are behaving very badly in this matter. An offer as derisory as they have made should carry a fine of the same amount for attempting to destabilise and poach a player. Maybe it should become a rule that an offer of less than 80% of a player's value made up from a combination of contractual obligation and ability should carry an immediate fine. As a counter, maybe we should offer £10m each for Aubameyang and Lacazette and ask them for a further £50m cash for Zaha if he really wants to go and get booed by the 'Club Lobster' brigade every week at the Hemorrhoids. In fact, he'd be better up taking rugger and supporting Boris for Tory leader if he really wants to be cheered there. Each time in our history that the Arse have taken our best players - Sansom in the early 80s and Wright a decade later - we have ended up being relegated from the top flight. So, the omens are not good. I think it is appalling that clubs, through the agent system, can behave in this way. Given the Arse's dreadful performance against Chelski in the Europa Cup Final, you would think that Zaha would wait until (Dick) Emery has got a contract to replace Bruce Forsyth in a long run at the London Palladium before he even thinks about a move there. The Gooners are looking like Gonners under their clown of a coach, Wilf, and if you've got any sense you won't touch them with a bargepole! However, we also need proper investment and why is it that we seem to be the only London PL team that seemingly cannot attract funds? Sarf of the river, no way, Gov! Or something like that Mr P?

[Tweet Link] If true I would say it is less about the fee being realistic and more about being realistic within Arsenal's budget. Wilf complained that FIFA only gave him an 82 rating. This is a player who knows his worth and I'm sure he rates himself up there with the best wingers. Does he really value himself less than AWB? I highly doubt it. Like someone said elsewhere, if he is that desperate then he could give us his signing fee and give up his season's bonus payments, maybe even throw in a car or two and his 7 bedroom mansion. I hope this doesn't all turn nasty, but Wilf has to recognise that Arsenal are not even close to being realistic with their offer. If they'd offered say 50m upfront plus 20m in add ons at least that is a sensible start, if still being well short. However, 40m spread over 5 years is just a joke. Mahrez went for 60m, was older and the market has gone even crazier since then, so I don't think the club is being unrealistic.

[Tweet Link] That's odd, a few years ago he said only Messi and Ronaldo were better than him. Recently has said he wants to play Champions League football, just put him on the pitch and he'll prove what he can do. Clearly rates himself incredibly highly, yet doesn't think he's worth as much as Harry Maguire. I'd love to see him bartering on a holiday in Thailand. I really like this, how much? 4000 baht 3? Noooo 3000 too low No 3 baht. Loooook good quality sir, A+ Yeah I know it's better than the real thing, 4 baht?

[Tweet Link] So what? Zaha must be told that he must honour the contract that he signed a year ago. These tactics are transparent and predictable. The club comes first. Wilf is just another self centered arrogant footballer who needs to be put in his place.

Negotiate around the 25% and take net say £55m, equivalent to about £70m. No add ons. No sell ons. That should be nice and straight. Will also kick those northern gooner tosssers
