used to be my uncles old pub(a good 15 plus years ago !)
not been there for a while, but Downe used to have 2 cracking village boozers.
sausage rolls & sausage n onions in a roll served all night, lock ins etc, good atmos.
pretty w***y to bother a chap having some grub with his family, still that's the left for you,
they know best(in their own minds & that's all that counts)

No matter your view of ol' Nige, it's clearly bang out of order confronting someone in their local. It's counterproductive too. Across demographics and political lines the majority of people disagree with this so it'll bring UKIP more votes not less.

Can you see anybody remembering this when they cast their vote on 7th May ? Will all be forgotten !!!!!!
Can't see a flood of votes for UKIP on account of Farage being pestered in the pub !

But at a minimum it's not like it's going to get them less votes, so what was the point of it? It's self indulgent.

Farage is candidate in 'Thanet South' at election, seat the Conservatives won at the last election with a majority of approx 7,600. And Conservatives won it the previous election.Farage has said he will resign as leader if he is not elected as an MP.

Well....Considering the current state of the Tory party we can be confident that Farage will be the only real Tory actually standing at 'Thanet South'.

I think the voters will recognise that.

I agree. It is going to be a tough election for the Tories, not just Thanet south but.....

The one thing you can say about Farage as he comes across as an English educated eccentric, which people of a certain persuasion admire. it's the rabble that hang to his coattails that is the issue.

£50 Billion plus yearly loss for the UK if we leave the EU according to the FT today.

Which makes you UKIP supporters stonewall stonking barmy. You want to run us into the ground for the sake of some archaic ideological views? Free markets = free movement. That's part of capitalism and resultant globalisation. Get over it.

£50 billion quid. You can fvck right off Nigel.

Do have the methodology utilised to come up with this figure to verify whether it's correct or not?

That's not the report the FT article you referenced earlier was based on.

Where is the one from 'Open Europe'?

Page 1 and 4 I think.

No it's not.

This is the report you mentioned, as referenced in the FT today:

Your report was dated May 2014.

Par for the course in Reading, around the 10pm mark, a lot of confronting people goes on around the pubs.

The Tory candidate actually sounds just like your vision of a "real Tory" given that the Tory candidate was himself leader of UKIP in 1997 before serving as deputy leader between 1997 and 2000!

Absolutely correct !
Meant to mention this myself but got distracted by my wife !!!! All her fault ! As usual !

And the sitting MP Laura Sandys is the daugher of Duncan Sandys who was a Conservative cabinet minster and was also MP for Norwood I believe.
