So does that mean we have always had terrible managers and here was me quite wrongly thinking it was just our current one.

Coppell wasn't liked with the long ball yet we had excellent strikers so he did what he thought and what was pretty obvious to do considering our ability on the ball at the time behind the strikers, today we are playing without the long ball and we have crap attackers (apart from Ayew) and we still have poor players with ability on the ball, so our performances are quite obvious in the entertaining ranks, Eze and Riedewald are in the correct direction with ability and age I would include Mitchel but it appears he wants out.

The results today have been friendly, and to beat Leeds would be take us above Arsenal and put us in 10th place. Now I've noted that there are some on here that don't see the difference between 13th and 10th as a great deal, but I do, and I hope Roy does too.

The only real way to measure the success of a manager is to look at he investment in the team versus table position. I don't think the squad is getting stronger. I think the squad is getting weaker compared to many other clubs in and around mid-table. The team and the staff have done really well to maintain roughly the same league position given the very poor investment in the squad. Roy and the players deserve credit for this. Change the manger in the Summer and crucially invest in new young hungry players that the new manager wants then there's a chance we could stay in the Premier league for a few more years. Surely a better chance of getting the right man in the Summer.

The manger and players will definitely want to be as high up the table as they can and I feel you do know this deep down, it'll be whether we can operate without Zaha being the main focus of attention in regards to both teams and whether we can actually keep their defence quiet and not able to join in with their attacking excitement lol

If so that’s good news and encouraging. Time will tell.
