A report says a third of deaths and hospital admissions are from ethic groups. Labour wants an investigation into why so many from these communities. It may have more to do with people and there biology than where they are from. I do not wish this on anyone of any colour but can it really be questioned so early on the community people are from. Time and extensive lab testing going forwards about the bug and its effect on individuals will answer this. I'm not using colour for a subject but just what if this group is in more danger biologically. How do you square that circle without finger pointing and name calling. Can you really recommend non whites stay indoors for their own safety. It’s down to how much you’re able to keep apart from other people, and if your elderly family live with those exposed to lots of people. Some can keep away from people for days, weeks or months. Some can’t. If labour use a 100 year pandemic to blame the government, and their own new labour government, that not everyone lives in nice open spaces and there should be a fair ethnic mix in all areas around the country in preparation for this virus, or it should be the case anyway then they’ll just look opportunistic and hypocritical as usual at the same time. If you asked many black people whether they wanted a council flat in Croydon or their London Borough or Redhill then you can bet they’ll choose where they are anyway.

I stated earlier on this board that minorities would get this in higher percentages due to cultural behaviours and was attacked by the usual suspects. As for some other poster I could mention... That said, I notice the BBC are using population statistics from 2011 and relating it to viruse cases now, which isn't going to be an accurate picture. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Apr 2020 9.11am)

But with regards to impact or the route to death, i am a bit puzzled. I am parking the possible fact that Asian countries (especially) China may apply cencorship or fail to report properly, impact of virus between Asia & Europe is dramatically different. This somehow makes me think that immune system of Asian people is stronger against this virus. Last October, i have been to Malaysia & Singapore (my first visit to Asia in my life) and 2 weeks after my return, i had struggled for 3 weeks dry cough (which was shaking my lungs) coupled with few days of fever and terrible body ache. Although i am not a snowflake from immune perspective, whatever i had was different to my body. Let`s monitor India after scenes on their lockdown day that thousands gathered to escape from cities. Hygiene is an obvious friend to avoid transmission but i have a feeling that immune system which got strong in a long term due to lack of hygiene may be a friend to fight with the virus once you interacted?..

You would think if it’s due to social issues Latinos would be just as affected. There is no denying there are physiological differences between races, it could be a predisposition. It is something we really should find out quickly, not only for public safety but also to look into the way in which COVID works. Or maybe it’s all the ganja.

To begin with it was a lot of people and their neighbours affluent enough to be able to afford holidays in Northern Italy at the end of winter and spring. Edited by Rudi Hedman (12 Apr 2020 9.20am)

If memory serves me well then the likes of VW and so on, often held up to us as prime examples of Teutonic efficiency and integrity, have proved that they are perhaps not so worthy of our trust when it comes to what they tell us test results are. This testing stuff was promoted by the puppet who is head of WHO, and i am a but cautious since then. For sure testing is crucial but as long as it is accurate. I have seen a video of German doctor (unfortunately not in English so can not share), around 20th March he was stressing that accuracy was 50% by then. He has given 2 samples: - One patient who insists to have Covid 19 testing (forced by his business to do so), he ignored and finally tested for Influenaza. His comments was in case he was tested for Covid 19, he might be positive. - He also shared one detail of died patient in his 50 who was tested positive. He listed excessive treatment the guy had including cortizol and medicines which is used for HIV which are notorious of supressing immune system. He was saying it was early to come to a conclusion but he had doubts that over-reacting treatment may be one of the reason of huge number of deaths in Italy (by then Italy was worst) I read a similar article from English source yesterday. Let`s see what time shows..

Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Apr 2020 9.11am) Yup I remember and I also stated that asian families live in large units, adding that finance and the making of 'could' be a reason that they choose this. My point this time is if biology is playing a part. As midland said sickle cell is mainly a black persons illness so could this be similar. I dont think the tories would be any less concerned about this anomolie than labour are and are probably looking into it as well. There really needs to be some blue sky thinking (pun not meant)
