If the country has a significant majority pushing for EU membership then I'm sure that another referendum will happen in the future. Maybe they should start a party and see how much support it gets....seemed like a successful idea that worked.

'the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must' (Thucydides) The policy allowed you to grow up. But because you never saw the alternative you will never appreciate it. It's a necessary evil....As the reality of human nature is that weakness is taken advantage of. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Sep 2016 12.02pm)

I believe that anyone who serious believes that nuclear disarmament will ever be an option in the imaginable future is a loon and that someone who wants another referendum because he doesn't like the result of the last one has no business being involved in the democratic process of politics. 100% agree.

May 2016: "Nigel Farage warns today he would fight for a second referendum on Britain in Europe if the remain campaign won by a narrow margin next month. The Ukip leader said a small defeat for his leave camp would be “unfinished business” and predicted pressure would grow for a re-run of the 23 June ballot". Sometimes people are so busy having digs at those they disagree with, they overlook the bunch of complete jerks they agree with (and support)...

That's no issue. We'll end up IMHO will market access and freedom of movement (though a bit more limited than now). You guys do perhaps need to deal with your double standards vis a vis politicians you agree with and those you slag off all the time because you don't,no?

Without Farage we still would have had no say over EU membership. I don't have to agree with everything he says but I thank him for that. No doubt people you regard as not jerks wouldn't have allowed us that say. As for the actual point your comments don't really add anything. If you want a second referendum join a party that campaigns for one. I don't really see the problem. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Sep 2016 2.33pm)

And you are telling me there are no double standards in the Remain camp? Let's pick someone at random - Jeremy Corbyn. Did he even vote o stay in the EU? Nicola Sturgeon - seeking referendum after referendum until she gets what she wants. Also, the left is quite content to operate with double standards. The anti semitism row in Labour, Keith Vaz, Corbyn's declaration that MP's need to be loyal to their leader when there are a number of recorded incidents when Corbyn, as an MP, plotted against the leader of the party at the time. If you are calling out on hypocrisy, it's everywhere and not isolated to one party or ideology.

Regardless of what side you took have you any confidence left in any politician at all after this vote? A dreadful exhibition both sides were anti EU IMHO. The pros were an advert for the antis.
