Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Sometimes people accept the need to swallow the most bitter of pills if the alternative is even worse. A short dose of Corbyn, with his arms tied behind his back, or an out of control Johnson determined to sideline Parliament and plunge the UK into something they cannot accept? I don't think it will happen though because I think it's exactly what Johnson wants. Him baying for an election last week was part of the same strategy. He could then shift the blame squarely onto Parliament for having to extend on Oct 31 and then try to win the next election. I think they will force him to come back without a deal before they force him out of office, whilst keeping an eye on the timing of his next prorogation. You dont know the alternative is the worst do you?

Firstly, Johnson is, unfortunately, the PM and what he says matters a great deal more than anyone else in these matters. He needs to show statesmanship and leadership for the WHOLE country and not just a large, noisy section of it. Secondly, I didn't exclude others from the criticism.

Since referendum results seem to count for nothing in some people's eyes when they lose, the perfect solution would be for the electorate to vote in as many Leavers as possible, be they Tory or Brexit Party at the coming election, so any success Remainers had at halting Brexit can be erased in the near future. Insane? No, some perfectly sane people want one. Undemocratic and undesirable? Certainly. Letting whatever Parliament we elect at the next GE decide what we do is exactly the correct way. As it is right now.

Exactly why he needs to ignore the remainers, the country have listened long enough to them trying to betray brexit.
