That makes no sense. They'd have hit Clapham Junction too then. All i need to hear, my dad is working there right now but i do see your point of view. Edited by Bedge (07 Jul 2005 1:42pm)
Look at Madrid, Bali, New York - they didn't hit suburbs, they hit popular work/tourist areas. Plus they always hit overground - the pictures speak more words than anything else ever can. There is a pattern to the attacks. I'm sure your dad is fine Bedge.

You get a lot of mis-information at a time like this. Security will be tighter, and lost handbags will now draw a full-on suspect package alert for a while. There is also the chinese whispers thing (since I arrived at work this morning there have been literally dozens of different stories - apparently Old Street tube station had been blown up, which was strange as the sandwich shop in there still did me a sausage sarnie). There's also a ring of armed police around Shoreditch nick round the corner, which is probably just a security measure, but you instantly get people suggesting they've caught a bomber and got him in there. All those with access to reliable sources (Sky news, BBC) please keep the info coming - it's a bit patchy up here at the moment and any help is appreciated!

Mayor Ken just been on the radio speaking from Singapore on his way back - great statement - very statesman like stressing how the attackers showed no respect for race, relegion, class, age etc - and stressing that London WILL keep going - we will keep living our lives and tourists will continue to come. Keep the faith guys

Regarding Croydon and other stations (Barons Court), I don't think its due to 'scaremongering' as such - people are on a high sense of alert and are therefore reporting anything that looks suspicious. If some plonker forgetfully leaves a carrier bag at a station then that station will get closed down. Hope I'm effing right.

As Danny Butterfield wheeled away, arms aloft in celebration of his third goal – an expression of delight and astonishment on his face – a man seated beside me in the stands turned to his young son and told him that he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. I will too. |

Anyone got any news on the apparent shooting of a suicide bomber at canery warf, and kings cross? Nothing on that at all. I think it's just rumours.
