If we lose tonight those who want Roy gone will claim he has to go. I suspect it will be a draw which will enable the debate on Roy to continue to the next game.

More rubbish. Eketiah plays for Arsenal with their superior side and has worse figures than Edouard. Believe me, he'll do no better than Edouard or Mateta, and you want to part exchange him for one of our top players? Clueless.
Edouard has six league goals and no assists in 1251 Premier League minutes so far, at a rate of a goal every 209 minutes. Nketiah has five goals and three assists in 849 minutes. That's a goal every 170 minutes and a goal contribution every 106 minutes.

With the greatest of respect I totally disagree with your negative comments in relation to our esteemed Chairman. The Steve Parish that I know certainly does not embrace mediocrity at all and has to work within financial parameters. He is a focused, estimable and ambitious gentleman who works tirelessly for the betterment of the club. They were my primary thoughts on SP as well. Although I don’t know him personally, two friends of mine know him well. And they endorse your opinion. However, my faith in him has started to waiver. Re-appointing Roy was hardly the springboard to progress the club. And you know how much support I have for I was surprised that the club came up with the funds to make the summer signings. But having done so the general consensus is that they were not used to our best advantage. Interviewed on the pitch prior to the Bournemouth game he talked the usual upbeat talk and then we watched our injury ravaged patched up team deliver one of the poorest performances since we got promoted. I’ll add to that his comment that Palace would be looking in the loan market for experienced players in January. While that seems to validate my opinion that there is a shortage of talent in the Academy ready to compete for a first team place, that could result in blocking those such as Ozoh and indeed Franca who are currently making progress. I don’t expect us to get relegated this season, but I really don’t know which direction this club is heading in.

Swindy - I am interested to know on what basis are you claiming that SP is the 3rd highest paid CEO in the PL? In the latest filed accounts (Year ended 30 June 2022) the statement reads - Director salary: £1,700,000 (£1.7 Million, the majority of which relates to an outstanding bonus payment which is expected to be reinvested back into the club) According to the Dail Mail report on the same thing published early in Jan 2023 ( so it refers to the same accounts year) even if SP kept all of the 1.7 m instead of ploughing the majority of it back into the club, as anticipated, he would still only be the 8th highest paid CEO in the PL. I fail to understand what we have achieved compared to 3 years ago, then we had one player worth probably 40m+ and we didnt sell him, rightly so, now we have 5 players worth over 50m, and Johnstone is probably about 30m, we can sell one, and it we use it wisely we can bring 3/4 players in that will make us better, i thought this was the point of buying and selling players.

Don't worry. Apparently the 3 promoted teams are rubbish and nailed on to go down. What they have not factored is that our manager still thinks he is managing Milan in the early nineties.

A perfectly valid observation Lanzo however, speaking just as a meagre fan, the fact that we have continually relied upon a subpar player in Joel Ward, a just about/occasionally sufficient Tyrick Mitchell, haven’t replaced Wilf and are only ever a couple of injuries away from looking like a championship side, I become nervous at the prospect of selling anyone right now.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I feel the club in playing terms has achieved little in the last 5 years, our league finish per season proves this. We done very well to set up such a progressive academy. As for a forward plan and integrating our alleged young talent I see nothing at all! I hate to say it but look at Brighton and the forward progression they have made urghhhhh..... IMO we need change in our playing style and coaching as I see RH turning us back into a long ball team. TIME FOR CHANGE
