Then you misread my response then because I don’t detect a hint of parody in a statement for which there is only one interpretation. Which had nothing at all to do with what is quoted from me above.

We will all be enriched. The difference is that some of us recognise that and some don’t.

What are you recognising? When Cornwall has the same demographic as Newham come back and explain how much enrichment you're enjoying.

Of course not. The EU needs to address the issue. Primarily by stopping them arriving in the first place but you don’t overturn one of the EU’s core principles because of it. There must be other approaches being either done or considered.

I am not talking about individuals or individual areas. I am talking about us a society over the longer term. It’s nothing new.

Not In My Backyard then. What enrichment has been enjoyed by those affected?

Worrying about anything is wasting energy. Finding workable solutions is what is needed, which isn’t as easy as pontificating about them.

Yes, but you don’t have to worry about such things, but maybe when those problems reach you you’ll have a review of the situation (unless the endless enrichment that the rest of us ‘enjoy’ distorts your opinion).

To repeat, I am not talking about individuals or areas, either my backyard or yours. I am talking about the whole of society, gradually absorbing new things that enrich our collective experience. Not everyone will enjoy or appreciate everything but overall we will.

To repeat. What enrichment? Having my wife called a white bitch in shops while she was queueing up to pay on several occasions didn't feel particularly enriching.

OK, so don't worry about global warming unless you have a workable solution.

So enforced enrichment…

You really do need to get off of the ideology wacky backy; it does you no good and leaves you open to manipulation. We try to rescue you from yourself, but I feel it may be too late.

I don’t worry, but I could if I chose to.

You, and other posters here, seem to think that where someone lives impairs their ability to reason. It’s untrue.

I have lived in many places in my life, some much more stressed than London. I can think.
