Roy's last 11 games in charge included 7 defeats, 1 draw and 3 wins (two of which were against relegated teams). We were absolutely awful in his final season and unbearable to watch and everyone was questioning his tactics, his team selections and his baffling subs. He looked completely lost at times like he was losing his marbles. He was then sh!t at Watford. His talent is making teams hard to beat, which we kind of already are. I can't see him lifting the morale and if we went down many of us would blame him, because really we shouldn't go down with the remaining fixtures we have. I'd genuinely rather risk letting Paddy have a shot until the end of the season than have Roy back. Agree totally and I will still go if we drop so crack on paddy.

I thought Hodgson had announced his retirement from the game, perhaps I am mistaken. Parish has turned the club into a laughing stock already, please don't make it any worse.

I think people need to remember the last time we were looking for a manager. At various times Le Favre , Steve Cooper and Sean Dyche were all favourites for the job. Dyche was actually 1/9 at one point and I know this because I backed him at 8/1 and was already counting my money. In my opinion there is no chance whatsoever that Hodgson will return. We got rid of him for a reason.

Hope you’re right Pompey eagle! Couldn’t bear to watch that dull crap football under Roy again. We’ve gotta show more ambition. We’ve shown we can play some great stuff so PLEASE don’t throw the baby out with the bath water and go backwards! Go and get Favre. 1st choice before PV got the job now ready to get back into management -so go and get him.

Total cluster.uck,Please no more Roy lovely man but over the hill and far away,Yet again no plan B ,get rid of the manager and errr! what shall we do now.If we don't go down now it will be a miracle, because the players don't know if they are on there arse or there heads, and we certainly haven't a clue who will be managing that great bright future we where going to have with Viera?

Roy’s return would perfectly symbolise the Board’s total lack of ambition.

'NEVER GO BACK' Roy - no Lampard Rooney etc. No - no more experience than PV and no success to date! Vincent Kompany summed it up succinctly. "It doesn't sit well with me" and "It seems like they have sacked an excellent manager who is under-achieving". The essence of his comments went on to say, having taken points from top sides recently, regardless of how we were playing, and with many of our remaining games v teams below us in the table we stand a reasonable chance of taking points from, what do we do - boot out a decent manager! IF a miracle were to happen on Sunday, what will SP and co be thinking then? It wont of course but we can and will get at least one unexpected result in the remaining games, which with a few other results and draws will see us home. Then the clock will be ticking to reorganise and tease more of the same to Selhurst. We should look NOW to appointing a bigger name like Raffa B, Nuno ES etc., but I guess we will end up with uncle Roy. If so, I hope only to the end of the season, but why not give Paddymac a shot, with a handover when the longer term replacement is found.
