Saturday last, Jake Obrien's goal, starting at 24 second mark: [Link] Assist from Kylian Hazard, Eden's younger brother. Jake, broken nose? RWDM, owned by Textor. SK Beveren, owned by Blitzer. Separated by one point, sitting 1-2 in the table, leading up to the final weekend with all others having fallen by the wayside, either Textor or Blitzer will be the proud owner of a top tier Belgian club come 21:00 Saturday night.

Been a few stories around about some of our academy players who have been out on loan this season. Jake O'Brien - wanted by Troyes in France Killian Phillips - apparently wanted by both Stoke and Coventry. Luton were also mentioned but I suspect they will need more experienced players following promotion. Jersun Rak-Sayki - will be wanted by championship clubs, but I have read Palace won't make decision on him until pre season. Probably to look at him and see if he is good enough for a 1st team squad place. Of the others Luke Plange, Malcolm Ebiowei - haven't set the world at all whilst on loan. Can only think of another loan next season if possible. John Kymani Gordon - just got promotion with Carlisle. Perhaps another season with them in League 1. Scott Banks - not sure, apparently played well in the euro final. Could see a loan to perhaps championship side if possible. Maybe an outside chance of a squad place.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Absolutely, a good loan season in the Championship, at the very least makes him more valuable than this suggested fee. On the other hand it brings him closer to first team football here.. Might be wrong but £400,000 was about what Palace gave for him, after educating him the academy won’t pay at that rate. Edited by Putitout (30 Jul 2023 1.58pm)

I hope Jake O'Brien stays and gets bench time/comes on. He looks a real prospect.
