Yup, publicly supported Boris at every step; yet releases a slick promo video for leader no doubt months in the making... the DAY after BJ resigns.

No, they won the last election because the public saw Boris as the only solutionto Brexit fatigue; and because of a fractured and ineffective opposition.

I think we are in agreement.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

My nearest hustings venue is at Eastbourne, however it is scheduled for Friday 5th August, when we entertain Arsenal so I shall have to make the trip up to London for the last event, 31 August.

On second thoughts I might attend hustings in Cheltenham on 11th August and spend a few days in that delightful neck of the woods.

People need to look at the realities of what's been done.

This is the US system and the dollar is the basis for the entire world economy as the world reserve currency (for now):

The figures on the left hand side are in billions/trillions of dollars. So the money supply has been increased by 5x(+) since 2020

But inflation is apparently down to Putin.

Each round of spending has to get exponentially larger - result - hyperinflation.

They either do that or increase interest rates and crash the economy where any single market would bring down the entire system due to derivative exposure and the dept market unwinding.

It's the ultimate rock v hard place but people need to remember that this was set up as a ponzi scheme by design and we can never allow this again. Nobody went to prison after 2008 and they used the money that was given to bail them out to just make more money.

I am a Tory supporter but this whole thing has disappointed me from start to finish - but where politicians are involved, disaster and disillusionment are always just around the corner.
Boris did wrong but not as bad as the media and opposition have blown it up to be.
The opposition and media have hounded the man for years and eventually got "Their Man"!
The reason being that he is the only one that scared them witless because regardless of what he said or did he took (most of) the people with him because he is a character and shoots from the hip.
If you put him on the membership ballot this week he would win hands down and he would win another election as well - Labour will get in next time regardless of how utterly useless they will be now - it is almost a done deal.
These new future PM's scare no one - as grey and dull as John Major and one knee Starmer, albeit they are way above the totally lacking in class Angela Raynor - she is just like a Fishwife!
Boris even got his own party fighting each other in public and yet they get rid of him whilst surely knowing that they will lose their jobs on the strength of it - the words Lemmings and cliffs spring to mind.
To make it worse the men in grey suits vote for a man in a grey suit and a woman in a grey trouser suit - neither will do the job properly.
A new face would have been better but oh no - heaven forbid!
These politicians keep telling us it is Country first but they lie as they always do - they are concerned only with publicity and pensions - their own.
A despicable bunch who are not fit to run my bath, let alone a Country.
Bring back Guy Fawkes!!

I have been in conversation with an array of supporters and the consensus is that not only would they like to see his name on the ballot paper but that he would emerge victorious by a 'Country mile'.

They are also firmly of the opinion that he would have been an electoral asset and the Conservative chances of success at the General Election have diminished on account of the actions of the 'Herd'.

Johnson got moved aside by corporate media because he was not pushing the COVID/netzero narrative as hard and fast as other western leaders. Truss or Sunak (or Starmer) will do that relentlessly with or without your consent.

Without Scotland it would be very hard for Labour to gain a majority
in an election. As Silvertop mentioned a few days ago, a left coalition would be their only realistic chance where Labour/lib/SNP work together in government.

It's highly unlikely that the SNP would do that....and just unlikely that the 'liberals' would. But stranger things have happened.

Without it the Tories really have it all to lose, even with a downgraded leader (and I'm one of those that regard Johnson as a betrayer).
