Fair enough mate. Totally accept that you'll have a better view of things at the game than I have from the other side of the world! I guess Wilf suffers from extremely high expectations...just haven't seen him gallop past defenders like he used to for a while.

And jury's out on Eduoard still for me....but again, appreciate your perspective.

I hope you don’t think I was having a go? Not intentional. I agree Wilf doesn’t take players on so much now, losing a bit of pace? or is happier with and more trusting with those around him and the system? I may be proved wrong but IMO Eduoard will be come a top player for Palace

I don't think you understand that this is a fans forum, where many opinions are different, mine is that Ayew is completely terrible playing right midfield, and 21 games with no assist or goals backs up my opinion, with Olise, Schlupp and Eze soon, and Rak-Sakyi on the fringe i expect never to see Ayew playing in that position ever again.

Is it Vieira’s fault that Ayew is playing out of position then?
Somebody has to be responsible.
It’s not as if there aren’t options now with Olise and Zaha who can play on the right and Schlupp has played on both flanks . Vieira has also stated that Edouard can play in the wide position too.
When Ayew plays on the right he continually runs infield crowding the play and invariably ends up losing the ball or getting fouled which breaks our rhythm.
He rarely finds a teammate when crossing as he fails to look up and plays with his head down.
He’s a good squad player who gives 100% and I’m sure will still have a more limited role to play.

To be clear, I was agreeing with the being played out of position bit.

I don't get why people have a go at a player that would probably admit himself that he's no wide player

Well, he picks the team doesn't he !

I think PV has already explained that he's bringing Olise along gradually and he clearly thinks that Ayew has been the best solution so far.

We are all aware of the players shortcomings in the role.

Constantly digging him out for it on here is what irritates me as it's the manager that's deciding to play him wide.

And as I have said before, PV will move on from this when he considers the time is right.

yes, it is Viera bad selection in my opinion, he has other options but has refused to use them

There is no doubt Ayew will be starting against Arsenal. You may not like him, but people with far more football knowledge have picked him constantly for years. He does a role for the team whilst the game is tight. Olise will get his chance via sub appearances, until Vieira thinks he is ready to start.

Our squad must be our strongest ever look at our did not start subs on Saturday. Tomkins Clyne Kelly Kouyate Butland awesome. Plus New boy Hughes. Haven’t seen him play yet cos he hasn’t but on the training vid he looks hot.

I know Andersen has dropped 3 or 4 clangers in recent games with devastating outcomes. West Ham for Adriano goal, then 2 on Saturday. However overall the guy is playing a game changing role alongside Guieha. Some of his passing is exquisite. It was his dreamy cross field ball to Mitchell whose cross led to Olise goal. Some of his 30-40 yard balls are unreal. As good as Alexander Arnold who some say is the best wing back in the world. I’m sure PV is acutely aware of what is causing our mistakes at the back that have been so cruelly exploited. Consider that Brighton goal. Brilliant but honestly a bit of a fluke. Then the Leicester goals both perfectly executed. I mean imagine if Benteke had robbed a full back like that. I would put money on him not scoring. Nevertheless we need to iron out these mistakes and I’m sure we will.
Give us a few more games and someone is going to get a pummelling from us. Edouard is starting to adapt very well to the premier.
