Shame he won’t be coming in but it’s good to see we have budgets in place and won’t overspend if the deal isn’t right. I don’t think the partnership with Che Adams will suit him. Both quite similar. That’s Southampton’s issue to deal with. Move onto to next target. Hopefully a full back will now take priority.

Seems that Blackburn are going to get Sotons player Micheal Oberfemi in return, not sure what the details are, but, can now understand why AA is going to Soton.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Agreed, he was simply too expensive given what we've already spent. Hopefully we get Nelson on loan from Arsenal. Then I'd be happy with the front line of Zaha, Benteke/Mateta, Nelson/Ayew. With Street & Rak-Sakyi as possible backups. It's the next line of 3 that worry me. Olise and Eze are out for a while, which leaves: McArthur, Gallagher (not vs. Chelsea), Riedewald, Schlupp, Luka. That's it. Maybe Kouyate and Banks as a backups? D and Goalie we are good with. Assuming Mitchell is okay from this weekend.

Is it not that long ago that we had pages and pages on a thread starting by Gareth Thomas pointing to homophobic comments on this site (realistically it was only a couple of individuals) because of the Brighton rivalry. May be I am in the minority but I personally find this cringe worthy. So bl**dy what the about the Hundred and what your sexual orientation is. Sorry this just encourages people to pick up ad hoc comments such as this and give this site an undeserved reputation.

Pretty much agreed really One thing I'm curious about is how Eze is going to fit into our midfield three and what sort of duties he'd be given there. Have only seen highlights of preseason so no real idea of the shape in midfield.
