I'd like to challenge your viewpoints on these topics but I fear you are too far gone and brainwashed.

So it's very odd that you come to a Crystal Palace politics forum to discuss your failed ideas in these areas.

My "failed ideas". You don't even know what my ideas are, other than not yours.

I've seen you debate with others and I have absolutely no desire to engage you as a result. I'm sure you'll claim that as a win, as you do literally every conversation, regardless of how it's gone, hence why there is zero point in doing so.

I don't go on the BBS because it's an ugly, awkward website to use. That's not where I heard the comments, of which there have been several. One was even overheard in Selhurst. Not a good look for Hol.

Yeah, echo chambers are such a problem.

People who hear just what they want to hear are such an issue aren't they.

It's a shame you don't like the bbs as it seems that your views might just be appreciated more there......though this so called 'cesspit' of right wing views also happens to contain left wing ones too.

But lets not let reality slow you on your campaign for moral authority on a politics forum.

Well, while I might not wish to blow my own trumpet darling....I think you might have just hit upon the reality right there.

An open invitation declined.

Oh I get it, you know that nothing you would be able to say couldn't be countered and the realities that my opinion aren't 'extreme'....to anyone other than the far left.....revealed to those reading.

I don't hold 'extreme' views and I don't know anyone on the forum who does. But we are certainly lied about by people who wish to push their own ideologies.....but far worse than that....Those who want to close down the ideologies of others.

I never said that there aren’t people here who hold different views. I simply said that a vocal minority present the false impression that we’re all Tommy Robinson acolytes.

A wide variety of views is great. Endless posts about how awful immigration, multiculturalism and the EU are become dull, repetitive, and frankly weird. I worry about people who can’t seem to think about anything else. Life is too short mate. Let’s enjoy Palace being in the best stage of our lives and not worry so much about foreign people. Especially on a football forum.

Your inability to see where your view lie on the spectrum is a concern.

I used to frequent this website all of the time, albeit as a lurker. I'd read posts about transfer rumours, team line ups, general Palace news and always dipped into the general other chat.

Now I don't bother. It's basically become an forum where a select few members spout often ridiculous, exaggerated, false or downright offensive opinions and gang up on anybody who disagrees. I've actually seen the website discussed elsewhere as a cesspit of hard right views.

Palace is a multicultural, welcoming club, with people from all backgrounds but you sure as hell wouldn't know it from this forum. I rarely come here now and can't stand that the topics here are a reflection of the club that I know.

I'm sure I'll get the expected attacks on this from the usual suspects.

None of what you think is happening on HOL is making your experience of your 95% use of HOL any different.

You’ve also proved why it’s pointless debating with you. You’ve declared yourself able to counter anything I say, before I say it.

I’m not here to debate you, I’m here to add weight to a post that was bemoaning what this forum has become. I agree, and it’s sad that people know this website as somewhere that Palace fans spread views that are more at home in the comments section of a Britain First post.

Oh the irony! Why on earth are you using a Crystal Palace fan forum to endlessly post your hardline political views? Surely there are better places for that?

I used to come here for Palace talk and would happily chat with people whom I disagreed with on other topics. But all I ever see is the same old tired cliches, broken arguments and abuse about the EU, Muslims, Tommy Robinson, race, etc etc. It’s so predictable I can even guess the topics certain posters will start threads on before visiting the site, based on what’s in the news.

You can’t use Palace talk because of general talk?

?

This is a very one eyed view of what goes on in Hol.....So you're saying that a minority of people who support Tommy Robinson creates the impression that the site supports Tommy Robinson.

Do the posts in support of Corbyn create the impression that the site is full of Corbyn acolytes?

Thanks for your concern but really I'm ok thanks.

I even teach people about computers including many foreigners in my time. In some ways it appears it's you who has problems with certain types of diversity.

This is the football club I've supported since I was a child. I don't need any lectures from you about how I should enjoy it.

Ta very much.

I can, and I still do. But it's depressing seeing how regularly there's a "Foreigns bad, English good" style post riding high in the popular threads. As a result, I've started to come here less frequently.

Who are you, the 'thought police'?

Condescending, self righteous rubbish.

I gave you an invitation and you backed out.

That says it all.
