Fulham looked decent in the first half without being particularly threatening. Watching Fulham all over Brighton the other day I could see why Roy had us behind the ball. They kept going at them, chance after chance after chance. The last thing we need was going going behind by one or two when we’re still not a high scoring team really, before today. Mitrovic also had to be controlled and we did that well, along with cutting out most of the Balls into the box, especially around our full backs. It was a very good defensive performance and this week Roy’s compete all over but don’t put ourselves at risk but then go for it more worked this week and may keep working with quality coming in up front.

Because it is good to see a player with a decent pass. Much needed in this side. Who does he come in for? At the moment he is a luxury player we can’t afford to play. The rest of the midfield cover a load of ground or offer a physical presence. As much as I like him and hope he is a success, I can’t see him getting in to the side the way we are set up.

Meyer made a difference today and he was an important part of the game killing second goal. MacArthur has lost his scoring touch and looks completely out of sorts in the final third so I would bring Meyer in there in a 4-3-3. In a 4-4-2 he should be played against the likes of Fulham at home for my money, again for MacArthur.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

I can understand keeping 8 players behind the ball, as we did in the first half today, against the top teams but not Fulham.

Let the opposition have the ball and we'll play to our strengths - good organisation and counter-attacking. Every time we think we *should* be able to roll a team over at home, they mug us off. Schlupp is an odd one. Sometimes you think why is he playing, but thats 4 goals now and he has a decent shot from a short backlift and knows where the goal is.

Why's he on the bench at all then? Perhaps beacuse the game plan for today didn't hinge on an 11th hour transfer on Thursday but the W-owl thought he might be able to bring some quality from the bench.

I’d be tempted to play Schlupp at left back if PVA doesn’t up his game soon. He has been disappointing recently both defensively and on the ball.
