Yeah yeah now let’s talk about the injury he was carrying which we couldn’t afford for him to undertake an op cos we had no other strikers but when we realised he was s***e as a result of carrying that injury we put him in for the op.

Let’s not ignore this small detail eh

Which takes us back to - not roys fault

And what would you have done, played one of the youth team, but anyway, it was good of the Palace managment to give you all the facts.

The Hodgson brigade want to explain?

Sure, Hodgson has been playing without a striker, what would your other 3 have "scored" without a striker?

It’s far from exciting but it’s as close to stable we’ve had since promotion, and that’s why we’re sticking with Roy for now. I just wish we had armchairs to watch it. It’s of course frustrating during the match where plan A won’t work and there’s no chance of trying a plan B, but over the course of several games we’ll average enough points.

We must be aware of plenty of managers out there this time rather than the previous farce of FDB or relying on there being an escape artist. This is where Parish will be judged even more because if we’re doing nothing now or the ex Palace players by his side get it wrong then no spin on any fan radio or podcast will pull the wool over our eyes, no matter what is said about how long we’ve been in the top league (largely because we’ve spent massive amounts on wages and the first 11 but not the squad, incidentally because we did nothing leading up to it and by that I mean a couple of months to 2 years leading up to needing player positions filled)

Benteke scored under Pardew and BFS.
The rest of the time. We still didn't really have a striker.

I've been happy with the football we've played under Hodgson and I wouldn't want him to go. I truly believe we've been unlucky in front of goal and suffering from strikers being injured. The Sorloth purchase may well not have been under Roy's control in which we should therefore being sacking the scout that recommended this deal.

The Hodgson brigade want to explain?

Hodgson is a reformist, the first two were dictators and Pardew was insane.

Football has changed since the first two hasn't it, something the club wanted and something that Mr Hodgson is in the process of doing, our players are better on the ball then they were and are not just boooting it, so the main big difference to your post is this.
Pardew attempted to do it but in the process of it forgot how great Murray was at doing the right thing in front of goal and then spent his whole time relying and trying to outscore teams, it was entertaining but increasingly at the wrong end and not for us when strikers became a problem, defending was always secondary for him ..hence he shot himself, in the arse.

The first two are unmentionable.

I imagine the people at the very top of our club are very happy with the way the football is progressing on and off the grass.

Goalscoring opportunities are I bet just as good as the other three ..if not better. Look that up!

Haha that’s the best response so far!

To those who say “Roy hasn’t had a striker”, well Pulis had Jerome and Chamakh but still managed a better record.

That’s what I thought but you cannot play that way with success for long. Teams will work you out or the ones you need or want to beat for 3 points may do the same.

Hodgson is the other side of the fine margins this season. That is the football and seasons strategy he plays. It’ll frustrate the hell out of you in the games he won’t do anything about it and then you get a surprise when you’re not expecting it or lost a bit of confidence, usually at home in an armchair, which is suitable for watching it.

Unfortunately Roy Hodgson has ruined our best player, as he did with the England squad. Round holes, square pegs, that kind of thing.

Some truth in this.
