Maybe a punt on Mark Hughes.did a good job at stoke for a time and the experience as a former top striker to maybe get the best out of benteke.

Your forgetting David Moyes. It makes sense at the moment we seem to be picking up West Ham castoff's I expect Andy Carroll to join us in the summer. Noooooooooooo.

But we could also claim that half of our squad are non-performers = £1.38 million. Get rid and reinvest in new players.

Weekly wages of Palace players not good enough or permanently injured:

Benteke - 120k
Wickham - 60k
Dann - 60k
Schlupp - 55k
Riedewald - 55k
Ayew - 50k
Puncheon - 35k
Souare - 30k
Sorloth - 30k

Total: Nearly half a million pounds per week, without the many add-ons and bonuses contained in these contracts for various things.

Roy usually throws him on at the end but didn't today because he's crap ... as I've said previously, Sorloth would have to come out 15 minutes before everyone else just to keep up with the ball. He is NOT the answer to our problems!

He’s definitely not our answer but he should’ve come on instead of ayew just so we could have some aerial threat an actually get crosses in. Ayew is a waste of space and should have his loan cancelled. Does nothing ever other than give the ball away.

For all the moaning about our lack of options, none of them ever get a chance. Sorloth gets slated on here but he's barely had a sniff. He's made 15 appearances for us in the league from a possible 29 games but only played 521 minutes. So on average he gets half an hour every second game to impress and people wonder why he looks short of confidence and form when he does play!.

I certainly don’t, he’s utter toilet that’s why.

He’s big and looks strong and powerful and even looks quite quick whilst he warms up on the touchline. Then he comes on and it’s just a different story. He looks out of his depth, disinterested, poor work rate and needless petulant fouls that have broken up our own promising attacks and have even cost us goals scored from the resulting free kicks at the other end.

He should be great in the air but isn’t, should be strong on the ball but isn’t and should be quick but isn’t.Totally ineffectual and not even remotely good enough. He has had several opportunities and has been at the club long enough now for the management and coaching staff to know his worth and ability. The fact he plays such a non existent part for our first team on the pitch in the Premier League is a clear indication and assessment of his ability by Roy and his assistants.

The pitch seemed far away from row 60. I thought we played well the first half. Jimmy Mac, Andros and AWB all played well until HT, We did seem to want to cling on to 1-0 from very early on. Andros did well taking the ball out of our half but had no options once he crossed the half way line.

We started the 2nd half well but didn't capitalise on a good spell. AS soon as they scored it all went to pot. Everyone was rubbish. Ayew was close to useless when he came on. Even in the last 10 minutes, there was no sense of urgency and we continued to play as if it was the first 10 minutes. Not good at all.

They are on (long term) contracts though aren't they, so offloading sounds easy but can not be done without a massive financial offer from our side. It means either letting go players on a free or even subsidising their wages for the terms of their contacts.

Exactly, which is also why relegation would not be some great opportunity to rebuild - it would be an absolute disaster. All of our good players would leave, and we'd be saddled with s*** players on massive contracts that we couldn't shift, leaving no money to build a squad.

Good example of SP dealings, he has to be responsible and he just does not seem to care!
