I have that terrible feeling in my stomach as well. Think he will come in like Paul Hart, see how he fairs then somebody else but that is risky due to time issues.

I also have a nasty feeling that this is what Parish will do. I said from the moment Freedman returned that Parish has him lined up as manager.
Unfortunately if this does materialise my season ticket will be returned and that will be it for me.

Yeah. The 'bombing' excuse came from an article in the Sun didn't it so probably just BS.

The only time I've heard him be negative about his time with us was when squirming after being questioned on coming out of 'retirement'. Happy to be proven wrong but I just don't believe most of the stuff he spouts - I certainly don't believe he wasn't being backed financially because the spend he generated was the biggest in our history if you include Mama.

Much like Pulis before him, I think he's a self-serving liar.

He was backed in the January because it was part of the agreement for him to sign and rescue us. It's the summer we're talking about and we all saw how little was spent and how Sakho was a 'panic buy'.

He was a perfect fit for the club af the time. We were creating a lot of chances from the wings and 'just needed a big target man' to put the ball in the net.......bit like now really. .there were a lot more people delighted with the signing than I think you remember.

I'm another who disagree. Benteke was just a younger Adebayor and needs a different style of play to how we play which ironically Pardew started trying to play.

Benteke is at the wrong club for his skillset.

Ayew scored for fun at Swansea last season as did Benteke both at his spells at Villa,Liverpool and for us during his first season.
Why do we manage to get such a dip in form from our strikers, who have been successful elsewhere. Is it our coaching methods or something deeper that is so drastically wrong??
Can't blame Parish for this one,for a change.

Parish sacked Sammy Lee and emplyes the coaches so he is to blame.

Well they just turned over Soton who have only beaten a single solitary team this year....guess who.

On paper we are miles better but football is played on grass.

Braunston you have to get real and drop this “we should be happy to be here” stuff.

All these seasons in the prem and Brighton have progressed more in 2 years than us, it’s embarrassing.

Every year it’s a relegation scrap and that is not good enough anymore after all of this time and all of these managers.

well we will be aspiring to get back here when we efebtually do get relegated, so we should be happy to be here.

all we need to do is average a point a game come the end of the season and all is good...no need to get our knickers in a twist over a few bad results here & there.

and now, beyond belief i see people calling for roy to be sacked. the state of our fanbase is unreal.

The way I see it the home game against Cardiff on Boxing day will be the crunch. We play Citeh away the week before, probably the hardest game in the calendar and may take a pasting. We will have to go into that game on a low ebb, without any shaprness in attack. Ironically this could be Roy's Soton game when Warnock got the boot with a similar if not more points tally. Roy may only get a stay of execution due to last season but remember Pards did not, all be it with a shocking run of form. I would be surprised presently if behind the scenes that a possible successor isn't being looked at, which might well be Dougie.

Few bad results here and there? 1 win from our last 11 Prem games. Won 3/16..

That's bloody relegation form!

God forbid.
Should that ghastly fate befall us, this will be the final straw for me.

I agree that Cardiff looks to be the game that will determine our approach going forward ( unless of course we take points against Leicester and Man C!).
Roy has indicated that there could be one or two players coming in during January. Are they his choices and ,if so, I think it’s unlikely the club is looking to dismiss him.
My worry is what he does with the signings.
If for example we bring in Moses and Antonio via loan/ purchase will Roy play a system to accommodate them?
His methods this season have not played to people’s strengths and the results are terrible.
He says that performances are good and that results will follow but I disagree that performances have been good and think he is deluding himself.

His "It will be alright on the night" in front of the TV cameras to try and inject some positivity is becoming farcical.

Puncheon adds absolutely nothing. He is far from being a PL player.
The fact that he is still even named in the squad is a sad state of affairs.

Willo we agree!! Also when the players arrive at Selhurst, he always looks so surly, maybe that is just him and I am being over-sensitive but doesn't create a good impression, might not be so bad if he performed on the pitch.
