Jesus some of you lot have incredibly low standards. No wonder we're always in the s*** every season and don't kick on when theres no pressure from the fans to achieve anything more than knocking about with the dross. Unlucky for 4 games my arse, we've got bods in wrong positions everywhere, can't take the 1-3 chances we get a game and are a shambles at set pieces at both ends. Still though, there was some effort so all is well apparently. Can't criticise your well paid strikers for not scoring from 5 yards or you're not a better fan...

8 points in November man, how is that acceptable

but 6 months ago he wasn't?

So we also missed him when prior to his operation he
was woefully out of form?

What we miss is an effective goalscorer rather than Benteke, the two are different

We definitely miss benteke all over the pitch , that was benteke,s position that Ayew was taking in front of goal and I’ve even seen benteke clear them off the line a few times before at close range

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It is incomprehensible to me that some fans blame the manager when it is obvious why we are failing.

Anyone see Sam Allardyce speaking? His reasons for leaving were about Parish but he wouldn't say why.

Sound familiar?

There is only one man to blame for this mess.

That was when we had Cabaye and Loftus Cheek.
We will need to look beyond Roy soon.
Sadly we are once again in a relegation fight.
There is talk of a new stand but no sign of it.
We are so close to all our dreams of established premier team smart stadium etc yet for some reason we can’t seem to make that leg up.
Why?

I can stomach losing to Spurs and the like but sadly we lost to Southampton and Wolves at home as well!
We can't beat the big teams and we can't break down the lesser ones.
We are in the proverbial!!!!!!!
We did okay yesterday overall and there were some good performances and cameos but we just cannot score goals and ultimately this may cost us our place at the to table.
It also puts immense pressure on the rest of the team as they know that they cannot afford any mistakes otherwise we lose.
Tomkins looks properly injured and Kelly was at fault for their first header yesterday but special mention goes to Ayew for cowardice and bottling it for their goal.
I never want to see him in a Palace shirt again.
Luca balled him out for not even attempting to head the ball and rightly so.
Send him back to Swansea right now!!!
Townsend who I always have a go out had a top game yesterday and just ran and ran and Kouyate is starting to pay off as well.
Right now pro rata we will finish the season on 26 points so for those of you who think we are doing okay best you get your heads out of the sand!!

Yes indeed. His ego gets in the way. We have had a succession of proven managers and all have farqed off - one common denominator...

I understand the Americans's investment is in the stadium so the money for the new stand should come from them. The premier league money is for our investment in the squad. At this moment our priority should be retaining our premier league status.

Actually Sorloth showed he was great with his feet today. Which is something Benteke isn't. The lad needs several games a full 90mins and IN position. He'll come good.

indeed...i wish i had the stats for his defensive headers but he does an awesome job at both ends of the pitch.

when bentekkers is back, we just need to throw balls into the box to get his confidence back again.

i remember a interview with wilf last season when he said “i cant get onto chris for his lack of goals as he will score the goal that keeps us up”

Benteke

18/19
328 mins
0 goals
0 assists
xxmins/goal (hasn’t scored)

This season he doesn’t register - he has not scored a single goal yet.

17/18
2,234 mins
3 goals
6 assists
745mins/goal

Out of 57 strikers Beneteke (745 mins/goal) had the second worst record in the PL behind Shane Long (789 mins/goal) with 3 x goals total (1 of which was a penalty) . Discount that penalty (which Luca should of taken) and he has the worst record and sits rock bottom of table in the PL .

16/17
3,137 mins
15 goals
2 assists
209mins/goal

'There were more personal reasons between me and Steve on why I left that I really can't disclose'

I do believe that if Parish had been willing to back him properly, he wouldn't have left, but difficult to infer anything from what he said last night.

Once that goal went in yesterday, one all felt that only a successful penalty would see us score and I felt the same at the Wolves game when we went 1-0 down.

Supporters fear the worst when we go behind because of our lack of goalscoring and whilst Hodgson puts on a brave face for the cameras and tries to sound positive with his equivelant of "It will be alright on the night" supporters are not so sure.I heard a great deal of disqiuet after the game yesterday with ordure very much in evidence.
