interested to hear what those in the stand think of a no-numbered-seats policy. I'm sure it'd be initially difficult, and fractious, but would soon settle.

Well, people in little groups to get things going is what Block E supporters have been doing before this poster was presumably born (judging by the immaturity of the post).

As one of the "same old faces" am I forgiven for sitting in different seats in various parts of the ground for several decades? Apologies for not banging a drum or bellowing chants but I'm just a faithful and aged fan - but not an "atic" obviously.

because when the same old faces sit in the same old seats for decades, their human nature -- which generally tends to be polite, inhibited, and not inclined to shouting -- slowly comes to the fore. And once they've gone a few games not singing, it just gets harder and harder to get them (I actually count myself) going. mix it up a bit amd maybe things would be more lively.

All seater stadia and perpetual seat renewals are killing the atmosphere in English football. If that doesn't reverse, one day it'll kill the game too.

Also, just to be clear, I'm no great fan of the HF. many many t***s among them. but I do like a great atmosphere. sp has also played an absolute stinker.

I'm almost 50, hold down a very responsible job managing lots of people (generally with good feedback and little rancour, which is quite a feat given the pressures of my job).i also have two moderately well balanced kids. I simply happen to hold a radically different view on this to most people, including you. it doesn't make you right or me wrong (or vice versa). it means we hold different views but I'm in a small minority. at least on here.

my view is one of principle. that principle is that we should never have gone down the path of perpetual renewals...

as it happens I do massively sympathise with those in the LH. What I feel is there needs change to generate atmosphere.

If and when we get relegated then of course the SKY coverage of our games will be greatly reduced.

In this scenario, one can only speculate as to how many of the HF will still be in regular attendance, whilst I suspect the die-hard season ticket holders in Block E who have supported the club through thick and thin and are going to be displaced, will in the main still stay loyal to the cause.
