Shall we talk about his alienation from British imperialism in Burmese Days? What about his expose of working conditions and early advocacy for socialism in the Road to Wigan Pier? Or maybe you can talk a little bit about his much underappreciated diaries?

I graduated in English literature and specialised in 20th century writers, so hopefully I can keep up with your advanced interpretations.

No one is denying that Orwell is a socialist. You seem to be confused about what is being stated.

However, he was anti totalitarian for politics of any side and had particular criticisms for the socialists of his time.

There is plenty of Orwell material on this and a lot of it can be applied to how they act now.....because little has changed, indeed, it's worst.
