What's up with this trend of claiming he wasn't a good player? What a crock of smart arse nonsense - the Zaha/Bolasie attack was infamous for being one of the most formidable attacks in the league, a great duo that we struggled to replace.

Now though? We need to move on.

I've been thinking this too? In his final season he was our most threatening player and some fans were even saying they'd rather Zaha left (I didn't agree, but I also didn't want Yala to leave). I do agree that we should probably move on, but there is also a romantic part of me that would love to see him come back and have a renaissance back where his heart lies.

Can we get him back for a loan fee and Everton pay parts of his salary, a no-brainer. YB will get the crowd goin' with his amazing runs...

Only problem, he can’t run like he used too, that’s why Everton are trying to move him on.

How do you know this? Have you seen him play regularly or is it just because of his injury you say that? Genuine question.

He's clearly struggled for form but a return to Palace where he's loved could be the spark that he needs. If Townsend/Zaha gets injured we have no replacements so it's a yes from me.

I too do not know what his form is like currently or what he can or cant do anymore. But yes, he was regarded above Wilf at one stage and was the main man. Them two together caused carnage. He was very, very erratic though.

That was one of his charms. Even he didn't know what he was going to do next. Bl00dy entertaining to watch. God knows that has been in short supply at Selhurst for some time.

Not good enough to replace Wilf and Andros. However, if he is happy to warm the bench, act as impact sub and wait his turn for 1/2 a season while we size him up then why not?

Also, I think he and wilf got on very well. His presence may improve the chemistry on and of the pitch.

If we loaned him then he would be a good player to come off of the bench or if Wilf or Andros were unavailable.

Coming back to Palace may revitalise him - nothing has gone right for him since he left.

Yes true. Him and Wilf are good mates and still are I think, I remember something recently wehre he was asked who his best mate in the game is and he mentioned Bolasie. As others have said as an impact sub..maybe. But again as others have said he is not a Hodgson type. This is such a palace type signing, zero imagination. You do have to ask yourself why we even bother with a recruitment team.

Isn't that just wishful thinking?

Surely if the Palace coaching team were good at revitalising players they would have worked wonders with Benteke first of all

First the bottle

Eriksen

Liverpool (I was wrong, only lovren)

And he’s a nice bloke. My son and I Met him in an airport lounge with his wife and 2 kids. He came up to us, as my son was wearing a palace sweatshirt.

Agreed. Yala on his day put fear in opponents. His moves vs Erickson and Liverpool (3 players, hand on ground) were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Yet alone his kick of the bottle thrown at him.

That being said his defence was atrocious.

But if we’re behind in a match would love to see him, instead of schlupp.

I’d take a £2 mm loan spell on him to strengthen the squad.

Well I did say '' may '' and of course it's wishful thinking !

I'm trying to see the positive side of this deal should it happen.

Worst case scenario is that we sell Wilf and this is Parish's idea of trying to replace him.

Not a fair comparison in my opinion.

Benteke is in situ - its the move from Everton back to Palace that may revitalise Bolaise

He never really was, to be honest. Couple of tricks, but mostly fumbled his way through tackles and ran down dead alleys. We should be looking for better.

That is pretty harsh. You dont get signed for 26 million quid if you are rubbish.

His shooting and crossing improved immeasurably in his last 2 years with us.

I think it was Clyne who once said he was his least favorite player to face due to his power and unpredictability.

There is no doubt he has gone off the boil but I still think Bolasie at 75% is better than bringing on Jeff Schlupp to change the game when losing.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.
