Where's the evidence he was refusing to play? There is none. I would have put him on at half time for JT or Kelly, though neither played that badly, to get him up to speed. Ah well, hope he's at 100% when the next game rolls around.

Our support does not require evidence.

There is a big difference here which I will clearly have to spell out....the manager says one player is injured....the manager says the other player says he is injured.

No difference.
If possible you don't force injured players to play.
Last appearance was vs Newcastle I think, same as Wilf.

Would take 15m for him in the summer. Disgraceful professional.

Collectively we must be a bunch of muppets. Here we are baying for CPFC to spend £30 million on Benteke, Sakho etc. Fast forward, here we are baying for CPFC to cut our losses and sell for £15 million or £20 million or whatever. Thank God we are not running the club.

I don’t think getting rid of our dud striker and recouping the £30m is realistic. However, Liverpool did it I suppose.

I dont remember people largely baying for these signings at all. Personally i felt that while Sahko was class last year, the 27m would've been far better spent on a top keeper around 12m and a striker 15m. Wouldve given us a far more balanced squad. Especially as at the time we had Dann, Reidewald, TFM (both whom signed as CB's rightly or wrongly), Tompkins, Kelly, and Delaney.

Even the Bentke i dont recall there being any major 'baying for us to spend all that money on one player. People may've been happy with it, bu it wasnt like the fans were clamouring for him. I think we'd all have been perfectly happy bobbing and weaving in the Championship and foreign market for upcoming signings, but then you'd need a capable scouting network for that...

I am not only talking about Benteke. I am talking about Sakho. I mean what has the guy done to warrant being sold for £15 million? Got injured!!

Just typed Benteke Holmesdale and Just Pay into google - this post popped up from 2016.

“New bid rejected this morning according to @transfernews on Twitter (they are normally reliable) apparently 23 million plus 7 mill add ins! Just pay the f@ckin asking price!!!“

He made a massive difference last season and this season when he’s played but very disappointed by events of the last few weeks.

What events? He was injured. His judgement was that a couple more weeks were required to make sure it was fully healed. He seems to have said that he is now fit.

And all power to that when he comes back in and helps to keep us up again.
