You are right, nobody cared until they started blowing people up in the West in recent years. Your lot continue to excuse them. Take a deep think. Fanatical warped ideological Islamic extremist who belong to a death cult are not one and the same as genial Mr Ali who has been running the local shop in Balham these last 30 years. I will continue to excuse Mr Ali if that is ok with you.

Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Dec 2017 3.19am) Why do I get the feeling that Muslims are just another in a line of generic groups that you have antipathy and disgust for and that you will move on to another when the extremist actions have all but disappeared from The West. I think your position is superficial. You will follow wherever the ultra right wing demagogues and media voices take you next. Baa.

Edited by Penge Eagle (17 Dec 2017 8.06am) Well in that case show some evidence, if you haven't just made it all up, where the left as a group have absolved fanatical and brutal IS/Al Qaeda/Boko Haram killers of their crimes, for that was the point you were making, was it not? My point is that you seem to get confused with those that defend innocent Muslims with those that are pro-IS and so believe they are one and the same. And the only reason that can be is because those of a certain way of warped thinking see all Muslims as being guilty of....being Muslim. Which obviously is far-right territory for some of the nuttier haters out there like Jayda Fransen. Edited by Kermit8 (17 Dec 2017 9.12am)

Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Dec 2017 3.19am) I am definitely more pro-action to snuff out the ultra-extremist interpretations within Islam which ends in terrorism for sure than sitting listening to Talk Radio deluding myself that me nodding is also action.

Well that's a semi valid point. Though your separation of 'ultra extremist views' and that of socially conservative ones ignores the fact that they are intrinsically related. One comes from the other....the runts come from that litter. Without reform of the base any action on the edges is about as effective as trying to make ice cubes in the oven. I criticise and I'm very resentful of the politics that have led here.....but this whole question is a lost cause. People like me and Islamic reformers are an ignored minority. We may have majority support in the country but none of our politics are supported by the elites in power.

I don't support any 'ultra right' parties or groups. What views are you saying that I support that are 'ultra right'? What I tend to find is that people like yourself are keen to label views that are actually quite common as 'extremist'......accept for groups you 'white knight' for of course.

We may have majority support in the country but none of our politics are supported by the elites in power. We have to separate religiously 'socially conservative', which is clearly apparent and has a large base in all the major religions, with 'extreme social conservativism', the like of which Saudi Arabia promotes, as it is from that tree which propagates the violent interpretations from which IS, Al Qaeda and the rest take their orders. Identity, expose and target. The guilty not the innocent. The rest of Islam will have to evolve over time. At different rates as some branches are more enlightened than others. Your defence of jew-hating racist neo-Nazis in the U.S and the idea that they should be protected from nor exposed to physical attacks when they are on provocative marches was concerning to say the least. Not sure you'd have been much use in WW2 with that attitude. Even in Walmington-on-Sea. Edited by Kermit8 (17 Dec 2017 10.44am)

Errr....you mean my defence of the actual law??? You're the antifa fan boy who wrote in support of them....an actual terrorist group with members currently under persecution. Fighting WW2 put this country is huge debt....how surprising you are so for it.
