Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Because even though Roy Hodgson has Wayne Hennessey and Ruben Loftus-Cheek back available for the trip to Newcastle on Saturday he shouldn't change a thing. Not a single thing. He should pick the exact same starting XI that took the field against Chelsea. And that means Julian Speroni keeps his place in goal and Loftus-Cheek has to make do with a place on the bench. Everyone had good games on Saturday and it is so rare that a manager gets to pick the same starting XI week to week; it doesn't feel like Palace have done it much at all over the past five seasons. But none of those who started against Chelsea deserve to be dropped. Not least Speroni who has waited patiently for his chance back in the first team and was told by Hodgson to take his opportunity. He did that and deserves to keep his place. Maybe PVA... He was the only player who looked very shaky both offensively and defensively.

Some players can get a team going by just being around some by being on the pitch Jules is more pitch than off it. Wayne has had a tough time. when Sam brought the new goalkeeper coach you could see the work that was put in to give Wayne more confidence and i was a big critic, he went from scared rabbit to not best goal keeper in the world but a better keeper, sadly he has gone backwards and needs to rest and regroup the defence hasnt helped and little bit of luck didnt go his way, Jules on the other hand had some luck and that changes things you believe things are changing goalkeepers need luck just as much as the rest of the team and the more luck you have the better you believe in yourself, so lets stop this he is better than him just support the man who is in goal at the time and not find fault with every kick, punch, catch, save. as it showed with butland who i think is englands next no.1 keeper when your under pressure all the time mistakes and goals happen

Where did I mention Hennessey - the post was about Speroni and his performance last week? And no, I do not have pictures of WH on my wall just as I don't imagine you have ones of Speroni - so give it a rest. It's just pathetic,

Speroni has been at every home game for the last year, if he has such an effect on the crowd and players, why hasn’t it happened before? I'm not discrediting Roy and Ray's influence one bit. But the influence Speroni has comes about when the fans see him out on the pitch during the 90 minutes. You lot are boardering on being flat earthers with this denial of Speroni's impact on Saturday. It's okay though, you're entitled to your opinions. Just know that you're completely and utterly wrong though.

when I was a small boy I used to play with cars around this loop the loop track. I had this yellow tractor, the wheels of which were all gnarled (probably from me chewing them when I was tiny). it was slower than ALL my other cars and ALWAYS got knocked out in the first round of my loop-the-loop cup game. I bloody loved that tractor, and my mate was incredibly jealous of it (I'd somehow big it up) even though he had this fancy super fast gold Porsche that I turned my nose up at. Jules is a palace hero. Hennessey isn't a super fast gold Porsche mind.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

It's just pathetic, You are ALWAYS mentioning Hennessy and have done ever since this thread started. It is you that needs to put this to rest as you do get boring and as for pathetic I think that applies to you as you keep bringing up the usual claptrap time and time again. I stopped posting on the Hennessy thread as I said I would, but you follow me across to Jules thread and spout the same old cr@p.....Get a life and get back to work instead of being on here all day.

My personal circumstances are nothing to do with you so leave it out. 2. I did not follow you here - believe me you are of little interest to me. It is a forum so people post on it. 3. You have used the word 'claptrap' to describe my point of view in successive posts now - is that really your best argument? You're the one who makes stupid comments about posters on bedroom walls.
