I said blatantly, punishingly unfair. The poll tax was an equal amount per person, but never fair. If it was it would've been brought back or be in use in western democracies. If it wasn't for the riots it may have been punishingly unfair for quite a while.

The correct thing happened. It was abandoned. There. If not then an iniquitous tax would've remained. Common sense prevailed from the reaction. There are some occasions when it's the right thing to do, usually because the long term government get carried away.

It's not true to say that they there isn't dispute over their tax levels and the affordability of their system as its population increases.

It must be incredibly frustrating as an Islamic Jihadist not to have your views and motives taken seriously by the societies you terrorize, even after you have explicitly and repeatedly stated them.
