You seem to think that every violent event is not as it appears and is some sort of conspiracy. You have no evidence whatsoever to support these theories and can offer no sensible motives for the conspiracies apart from vague nonsense about the state using the events as excuses for their actions. It's nuts and an insult to the victims.

1. If many involved in the investigations of tragedies such as this can have their doubts (re- the official line) then so can we all.
2. History is full of examples of ''the state'' being involved in dubious actions, the only purpose being to inflict more control over any given population.
3. Quite the opposite, but i wouldn't expect you to understand.

I've fired plenty of guns like the kind used and they are remarkably easy. You'd get more recoil off of some handguns.

And it's not even comparable to using a SDS bit in a hammer drill. You don't lock a hammer drill into your shoulder so the forearms and biceps take the brunt of it, oppose to a little light bruising, at best, to the shoulder when firing a fully automatic weapon.

An AR50 packs a punch but if you've got it on a tripod with your stance well set it's simply a case of keep on pulling the trigger.

Ta bud.

An observation, but feel free to label as you wish.
''All he had to do was roughly aim and pull the trigger''. So the tripods also mitigated the continual force of the recoil?
In my little world, 95% of people (yes, that includes you) would ache/need a rest when holding a standard SDS drill while drilling into masonry for around 1min.
God knows how much force firearms such as those used would require..............but apparently an unfit OAP managed it?

What can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

All you have is suspicion.

He didn't continually fire, if he's using tripods or resting the weapon barrel on ledges or the opening seen from the hotel room then fatigue is considerably reduced over ten minutes.

The aspect of recoil is a factor of accuracy and less about fatigue over a time frame like that. You nor I know the amount of recoil that those weapons produce anyway.

Adrenalin would also factor in as well.

He stopped shooting voluntarily after about 10 minutes. It's possible that he ran out of energy, although I think it's likely a combination of him tiring and that he lost momentum when the security guard distracted him and he couldn't get the hate up to start again after that.

Once the adrenalin rush is spent, the crash is pretty deep and hard. He put about 200 rounds through the door at the security guard, then went quiet. In the hour between shooting at the guard and SWAT breaching the room, the only thing he shot was himself; putting a pistol in his mouth and eating a bullet.

One other tidbit I have learned, for what it's worth, Mandalay Bay is a gun-free premises. I guess that means we're now going to have to go through airport-like security to check into hotels.

Or you could change the pathetic state sponsored gun laws.

That would be nice, but one of these things is more likely than the other.

It just doesn't make sense, you can kicked out of a hotel in Las Vegas for smoking a cigarette in your room, but it's perfectly expectable to have an Arsenal capable of arming a small to medium sized country coup.

Absolutely barking.

By law, I have to provide ID to buy over-the-counter cough medicine (and the amount I can buy is severely limited). By law, I can buy a gun off another private citizen without even having to tell him my first name.

Barking, in spades.
