Surely the most sensible course of action when she made her original complaint was for the complainee to say "Oh dear, that wasn't a very professional thing to say, We'll have a word with him to make sure it doesn't happen again" and that should have been the end of the matter It is feasible that as far as Aluko was concerned this wasn't the scenario she desired - she wanted to take matters further, hence the FA agreed to the £80K payment to prevent legal proceedings from disrupting their preparations for the European Championships.

Has anyone heard anyone at their work say to young female workers, things like, 'Make sure your parents don't bring Ebola over', followed by people in fits of laughter? Is it said in the classroom from teacher to pupil? As it's so acceptable similar surely must've been said to bosses and owners of companies people here have worked for after they may have been back to their ancestral home for a break. 'Hey x, hope you haven't brought any <insert negative topical matter> over here.' Must go down a storm every time. I don't know why it isn't heard everyday, everywhere. Very Partridge or David Brent. This whole thing appears like the regional office being mixed in with the workers' tea room. Anything else you think people should get the sack for? This is a debate about what should and shouldn't be reasonable to take offence to the extent that you can be sacked for it. I think it's loony.

No that is not feasible. She asked that it not be made public, so the media wouldn't be involved and her team mates wouldn't be affected. That's according to the F.A. in their statements to a parlimentry committee.

I profess that I don't know all the details of this case, however it is possible that Aluko didn't just want to sit down around a table to resolve this issue but wanted more formal procedures to be invoked hence the investigations.

Several people have gone about this the wrong way but I think from this sort of agreement it was inappropriate. He's the type of unfunny t1t I'd avoid and she's too stiff and uptight, which makes him even more of a fool for not recognising that and putting his job in danger after doing so with 17 year old girls many fathers wouldn't be pleased to hear about. Looks as though it's his playground and effects, consequences or how things come across or look don't come into it. A bit of a wrong'in without the sense to gauge someone like her wouldn't find 7 year old humour funny.

It's not that I think he should be sacked, but I wouldn't be surprised if people are seriously reprimanded, or possibly sacked if they're new in the workplace or there's more dirt. How many times do you hear this type of humorous stuff said to people? There's a reason it isn't. It's overstepping the mark. It's something you hear in the playground and gets stamped out by teachers there. It then may carry on by simpletons in some shyte holes and then these 2 cross paths and he doesn't have the intelligence to see she's not going to take it the same way.

Any man taking this job is a fool. The things I've heard women say and.....nothing...Most men don't have huge chips on their shoulders.....Anyone with sense knows these are uneven and toxic situations. The race card is played for maximum effect and advantage......and like was mentioned previously Karen Brady had a relationship with a player and....nothing. I'm still waiting for an explanation as to how making a joke about Ebola is 'racist'. Does Ebola only affect black people now? I've yet to have someone prove my assertion wrong. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (19 Oct 2017 10.59am)

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (19 Oct 2017 10.59am) Hrolf Perhaps you know only too well the tentacles of what is deemed 'Racist' are being extended all the time with parameters moved to suit particular circumstances.
