No not at all. If people want to post homophobic stuff then they risk breaking site rules. It's not hard to understand.

Also I was trying to look at the issue how a site admin might. Read the response again but this time digest it.

Yeah Nick, I've read the rules before, thank you. It's all in interpretation.

You could be interpreted to have broken these rules many times before, as could I.

I repeat I'm disappointed. I move on.

Censorship of homophobic bile?
People know the rules.

One suspects that those with the most 'unacceptable ' posts went as a result of the doc as the mods wanted to be seen to be taking action.

You can imagine the 'homophobes allowed to continue spreading hate' type story emerging which would damage the rep of the HOL.

I doubt it matters

There were plenty of us that gave the opposing view pretty strongly at the time but they were all ignored in the name of a TV expose.

Whatever we do next will only be relevant if it creates an opportunity for further 'headlines'.

Deckchairs on the Titanic old boy, which is why in my view they should have either been dealt with at the time or allowed to post until the rest of us 'straightened them out' so as to speak.

IMHO this tread is now not Palace Talk but more General Talk.

Just a thought

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Producers of tv programmes....being of the media industry in general aren't custodians for the general good or truth despite some implicitly suggesting that.

They are about self interest and that's always been their bottom line.

The ethical in the media industry must be amongst the smallest minorities in this blue world.

Yeah, that's all we need, you coming on here enjoying a censorship 'victory'.

Well done, I hope you are proud of yourself.

Maybe the same will happen to you one day but hopefully your opponents will have more class.

Proud of myself? I'm not a mod mate, I've banned no-one.

The way that I see it, everyone has an opinion. Now if someone is stupid enough to be vitriolic on a website then more fool them.

Maybe I have more ethics and morals than you? Maybe I think somethings shouldn't be said whilst you think hate is fine as it's freedom of speech? Maybe you don't understand the law?

Have a good day mate.

One of those guys was a decent poster.

You have more ethics and morals than me, do you? Well, who knows... Lets see what you do for a living.....Insurance Broker.

Yeah alright mate....I went into teaching and you're an insurance broker. I'll take no lectures over morals from you.

You support censorship of non violent opinion you don't like. I think that is vile. That's real bullying.

I'm not your mate.

What did Bubble say that was so terrible? I'm just perplexed by it.

It's a shame that whichever mod banned him doesn't post on this thread to tell us why as many of us are as perplexed as you are

Glad my kids weren't taught by you.

Please show me one post where I said the artist formerly known as bubble wrap should be banned?

Parchmore, yes, the bloke's disgusting, bubble wrap, no. So more facts and less faux outrage please.
