You have to wonder, how do people like this manage to earn a living out of spurious nonsense. Is it because they're their least spurious nonsense talking head, in that compared to many they can err on the side of almost plausible, on a scale that descends to mentally ill. Like an inversion of the value of knowledge, where the more spurious you are, the lower your capacity to get TV appearances. You know why it wasn't aliens? Because you'd think if they'd flew across the gulf of space in interseller space craft, they'd probably not use local stone masonary techniques to build things.... Sure the pyramids are impressive in their design and construction, but not 'solved the problem of travelling across space' kind of impressive.... They're not really even 19th century impressive...
It'd be pretty arrogant of us to do so ...wouldn't it..

To busy making sh8t films and fleecing their followers. Scientology is a proper capitalist religion, its all about making money. A bit like how the Occult is really about dressing up, getting high and justifying group sex. Interesting. Do you know how I get involved?

Most people with access to education believed the world to be a sphere. Sailors certainly didn't believe it to be flat, and nor did astronomers. Of course some people believed it to be flat but the scientific consensus for a very long time before science was even more than just rudimentary observations, believed the world to not be flat.

Interesting. Do you know how I get involved? I'm not sure, otherwise I'd probably have gotten involved. I did know a guy who was really into sex magic, but he wasn't really the kind of guy I'd trust when organising an orgy....

What about ancient alien ants? They already have a farm... You have to wonder, was it extra-terrestrials? No, no I don't because it wasn't. Its right down there on this list of things I don't have to wonder about, thanks to understanding the principle of Occam's Razor. Kurt Vonnegut has written about extra-terrestrial visits in 'Breakfast of Champions', his writer character, Kilgore Trout pens a story about a flying saucer creature named Zog arriving on Earth to explain how wars could be prevented and how cancer could be cured. He brought the information from Margo, a planet where the natives conversed by means of farts and tap dancing. Zog landed at night in Connecticut. He had no sooner touched down than he saw a house on fire. He rushed into the house, farting and tap dancing, warning the people about the terrible danger they were in. The head of the house brained Zog with a golfclub. Edited by hedgehog50 (03 Jul 2017 4.55pm)

The Nazca lines were probably made by people, at great effort and expense, for religious or cultural reasons that were very important to them. Probably because tribal Shaman and people were getting blitzed to the tits on ayhausca and having massive flying out of body visions or something and the lines exist to guide them back to the earth. its like a Medieval Cathedral. They're monumental undertakings, that took decades to build, cost an absolute fortune to build, are intricate as f**k and serve no real purpose other than being very culturally important that's proportional to the effort, cost and sheer sacrifice. Like the pyramids, building them was very important to the people of the time. But that doesn't mean that they served an objective valuable purpose to us. But to them, its like the medieval Cathedral. Ask any anthropologist, and they'll tell you that societies are not as rational, pragmatic or sensible as we'd like to believe, even ours. It only seems reasonable to the people inside the cultural bubble. Edited by jamiemartin721 (03 Jul 2017 5.04pm)

This guy always strikes me as being legit...even if what he says is way out of modern comprehension.. I've seen him interviewed a few times and always comes across as lucid and straight..

That's a lot more impressive than scraping some lines in the ground. It would take us decades with earth moving equipment and explosives. If people of the past were capable of such feats then it casts serious doubt on our interpretation of history. It doesn't need to involve aliens to make this a big story.
