Didn't see that. He looks like a new player under Allardyce.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

First good team performance in a long time - and for the full game; with two great goals. I kept waiting for the team to implode - but it didn't happen. Townsend looks rejuvenated, Puncheon seems to relish being captain and the defence much stronger with Sahko and VA. Hennessy didn't have much to do - but t thought he did fine - two clean sheets will also help his confidence.

Happy with almost everybody today I think Joel Ward is a weak link at the back , hennesey did allright today, but he was not put on a lot of pressure.
I`d like him to be sucsessfull so he got to step it up.
Next up is Tottenham, and let us stay solid in that game too and then see if we can nick another win.
Hope Benteke can get a goal or 3 soon.

Don't think we should count our chickens yet. A lot more optimistic than I was but still have to play the entire top 6.

Such a far cry from the unorganised and sometimes farcical dross we played under pardew though. We're FINALLY looking like a team and I must say a pretty good one as well!

11 games to go. We're in a significantly better place having won two on the trot but we're still 17th and, as others have said, we still have the top six to play. I think we're much better equipped now, though, to hope for something positive out of some of them where, previously, we'd have written off the points before kicking a ball.

All to play for, and very much in our hands.

3 wins from our last 5! Fantastic result, well done Sam you're turning it round well.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Without wanting to jinx anything, you'd have to say that bottom three now look like going down.

There's 4 teams just 2 points ahead of us so its looking good. However, remember our last few matches are all against top 6 teams, so its still all to play for. But a great performance, and the team looks far more solid. Well done BFS!

Hennessey and Ward are definitely our weakest players now, with Sakho though, we don't appear to need a keeper at all, shame we'd never get him on a permanent basis.

If we stay up I think we could get him actually. However, Liverpool may bring him in from the cold once Klopp finally realises that their defence is a little poor.

Middlesborough today really did look toilet.

...and we still have Hull coming to Selhurst.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Quite, like the decision not to include McArthur in the starting 11.

I do feel sorry for Benteke, he is so isolated on his own, that said it seems to be working and he is getting much better at giving the team an out ball.

Cabaye was absolutely class today, ran all game and the assist for Zaha was sexy.

Milejovovic was great but his distribution was a little off today but he reads the game so well and was attempting all the right things.

Sakho is a monster

I hope PVA is okay he is great with Wilf, actually makes him so effective out on the left as they have a great understanding of each other.

We need a new RB, Ward was crap again.

What a great team performance though.

I agree with your summary. Ward, puncheon and hennessy are sadly starting to show as our weak spots.

However, those on the bench next season as squad players would be fantastic.
