..could be the reason why Chealsea are nine points clear, but then again what do I know...we had reasonable opportunities but he ball failed to bounce for us, it took the ball to bounce just once for them ..so I think Pardew needs to be skinned alive, boiled for three hours and served up with piranhas and scotch bonnet, that should sort him out.

You seem to be desperately trying to provoke someone into an argument but I've read this thread through and Pardew has barely been mentioned let alone slated.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

There was a thread asking for predictions and almost everyone said that we would get a right hammering.

We didn't and we ended up narrowly beaten by the runaway league leaders who haven't lost in the last eleven matches

Your right the tactics were good today and the teams played with a lot more determination, of course we would have liked a win but no disgrace we stopped a very good side from playing well and who now have a sequence of wins 11/11, we played much better as a team and lost to a very good goal that most teams would have had difficulty defending, this was good example of rugged defending, something that has been missing for sometime.
sure we lost but were not disgraced!

If we play like we have we have during the last week against bottom half teams we'll be ok. unfortunately Pardew doesn't have time on his side so the pressure is building.

Dann to blame for the goal. If he'd have attacked the cross instead of watching Costa they wouldn't have scored. Didn't even get off the ground..

You try jumping, when your moving backwards and the other player isn't and see how you get on.

You at least make an effort to jump even if just to put him off

I think we are too late now and have no option but to stick with AP because the transfer window almost upon us, any new manager would not have time to settle before he would be expected to strengthen the team in key area's. Our bed is made and we just have to hope that the performance in the last two plus some new acquisitions in T/F window is enough to get us 17th or above!

The players tried hard today but in the second half on Hennessey stopped us getting battered. As soon as they went up a gear they created chances galore

I suppose it depends whether we are already in talks with someone.

Also what we need is not exactly a mystery. Think Swansea could be the match (combined with Boxing Day) that decides his immediate fate.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

The reality is none of our players would get in their first team, maybe 1 or 2 in their subs bench.
The value of their subs was more than our first team combined.
Games against the top 6 teams aren't going to define our season, as we are not financially in the same league. So its not particularly fair to dig players out, as they know they up against far better quality players.
We may get the odd win or draw, that's a bonus.

..Chelsea defended all they had to today and considering they can buy who they want and who they want cannot wait to arrive Benteke was always going to appear invisible.
