Ok i'll bite. Are people seriously suggesting fat sam the crooked man to replace AP with us mid table before the end of October? clueless knee jerk reaction.

Pardew needs to study back four arrangements especially at set pieces. If we'd been decent in that department today we would have had a point at least. I don't want AP as Manager but even I can't blame him for two ridiculous bits of defending - actually three when you see the marking for their 4th goal as well - but the set piece defending cannot be his fault this time - just terrible defending. I didn't mean that to sound like a matter of "fault" but there is a weakness there and the coach needs to address it, that's all.

I agree with that - not arguing with the defensive errors need sorting - they really do.

Being mid-table in Oct isn't anything to get overly excited about especially when we can't keep a clean sheet and have only won 5 league games in 2016! Yep, I'm glad we're mid table but given our form this year I think it's unlikely that we'll stay there. Any by that, I'm not suggesting we'll be challenging for Europe ...

Defend like this and we will not win against any team including Burnley who can defend. Liverpool should have scored another three or four they are a very good team so its not getting beat that matters its the way we conceded very easy goals. AP has got to get this sorted or get in a good defensive coach who can ASAP. At the end of WBA game today crowd were singing,
It's good to keep an opened mind, but not so open that your brains fall out. |

If it goes sideways with AP in the next 2-3 games then he might have to be considered and I for one wouldn't mind him taking over the reigns in such circumstances ... Watch this space I'm not sure Allardyce is the answer. Like Pulis, he won't get you relegated (but, then again, I don't think Pardew will, either). He also won't give the flowing, attacking football so many here seem to crave. In any event, I think he'll return to Sunderland in the inevitable event of Moyes being sacked. So, in the absence of an outstanding alternative candidate, we continue with the 'transitional period' mentioned at the beginning of the season and give Pardew more time to shape the team in his own image and accept that results may frequently not go our way in the process. It's a given that there are still several positions that are in need of upgrade and, until that happens (and that won't happen any quicker without Pardew), there is no option other than to continue as we are. Continually moaning and bitching about our performances solves nothing - it's up to the fans to continue to get behind the team, whoever they are.

So do you really think we will get relegated? we are about where we should be and about where we will finish. Anything above is a massive bonus.

Sorry mate, but I think this whole 'transitional' thing AP hides behind is nothing more than a mechanism to buy himself more time. I haven't seen anything in 2016 - when it comes to league results - that suggest otherwise. Yep, we won a few games on the bounce against 'lower' opp but even the worse managers out there can manage that in nearly a year! I just don't see anything in the way we play under AP to suggest he's got the nouse to turn around this nose dive we've been in for ages! And quite simply, I think I speak for most people on here with anti AP sentiment ... just that they get caught in a war of words disagreeing with people hence the bitching & biting! It's not anymore complicated than that ...
