This is a page for our opinions, well this mine. We need to consider the mid field/ Against Lecister they were mostly ineffective and this cost us the game. I think we should buy a reight back. What about Ward? Well I think we should play him in a midfield 3 with Puncheon and possibly Remy when he gets fit. We can play 4 3 3 . Get Dan back into the defence 4 and keep Ledley McCarthur and Cabaye on the bench. We've got to stop the opposition running through our midfield and move more bals forward to Zaha, Townsend and Benteche. What do you think

Heard an interview with AP recently where he said in training they are concentrating more on technique and keeping the ball. I wonder wether this has meant a reduction in stamina training and that is why we struggle to maintain form for the 90 mins. Fitness training would usually be conducted sperately. However it's a good point and it may have contributed to the drop in intensity that seems to happen at times.

We really are missing Soure, who is an average defender but is quick - which is what Kelly and Delaney are lacking most. A few players didn't really play well yesterday it seems to me. In fact rather than pick out who was bad - just think who was good. Wilf was our MoM by a distance. I think Cabaye would struggle to score in a brothel right now. Other than his shooting he played ok. Tomkins was the best of our defence That's about it isn't it. Three players can hold their heads up. At least we're playing a team that's been playing well next. We seem to perfect fodder for teams to turn around their form. We'll be up for it from the off I hope!

I mean wouldn't it be better for the team if he allowed the ball to hit him in the stomach rather than the back of our net. I remember at primary school as eight year-olds our teacher warning us to stay tough and not blub if a football was smashed in our face. Just saying........

Mandanda needs to be given a break. I can't say I have seen anything outstanding but I haven't seen anything bad ether. A couple of goals where arguably if it had been Hennessey he'd have been slated on here but no clangers. Though yesterday came close. I think Mandanda has on the whole settled well. Foreign keepers often take time to settle, look at DeGea he looked ropey at times. Delaney is at last knockings but not as bad as many on here make out though I think he will be benched from next week. We are an average PL team, which is an achievement in itself. Whilst we want to continue to improve, that improvement will not be linear, it is impossible. We are still 11th, 4 Pts off Europe and not at full strength. Chin up I'd have said that passing the ball to their forward in the first minute who was so surprised that he missed an open goal came pretty close. Also, not bothering to even dive for most of the goals we are conceding.

He was never going to get near the first and it was also deflected away from him. He did dive for the second and that was also deflected. The third was just too powerful and came through a mass of bodies as well.

How long have we got to wait, he has been far from impressive so far. I cannot think of a top class save he has made, but I have seen him stationary as the ball flies past him into the net with him making no effort at all. From what I've seen I like Mandanda, think he's got a way about him.

The way about him is the consistency he picks the ball out of the back of the net. I don't see that he is any better than Hennessy, he hasn't made a decent save yet. Not sure what his strengths are not a particularly good shot stopper and doesn't seem to command his area. I think most on here are dazzled as he is French, why was his value £1.5m?

I do think Mandanda is better than Hennessey but that does beg the question as to why he's conceding the same amount of goals.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

A bit harsh, one on one against Bournemouth when it was 1-0, just before half time at Middlesboro from Negredo spring to mind and I think a fingertip save against Boro or Sunderland. I know you can't say Hennessey wouldn't have saved those but would he have saved any goals Mandanda has conceded? We should be grateful we are having this debate as we have two very good keepers.
