What do Wayne Rooney, Toni Kroos, Cesc Fabregas and one or two other very top level players have in common with a certain Connor Wckham?

Know the answer to that and you will also know we have a diamond - albeit rough - at an incredibly cheap price.

If this goes the way I think it is going to go then we will have, over the next four years, our best striker since Wright. And then we can sell him for £35mill.

Great signing; my worries of us cashing in on Bolasie to sign a big name striker are gone.

Plus we've landed a young talented english striker who may turn out to be better than anyone we've been linked with.

Fantastic signing with very limited downside.

We've signed two strikers who have great potential and with the service we can give them and AP boosting their confidence I'm more than confident our front line and midfield is stronger than last season.

Fantastic signings...!

Plus three quality goalkeepers in the squad and the Newcastle father son duo possibly arriving too.

Unbelievable transformation by 2010 yet again.!

Just need to nail down a CB.

Best transfer window ever.........

Campbell is a pup - bin him.
Wickham has a future -grab him now.
Murray has another season as a super sub.
Gayle can be offloaded to the first offer as far as I'm concerned
Bamford looks good for the season
Chamkh will do for me in support
Amoeba the stick needs flushing out soonest maybe Chortletown will want him
We need a lump of a big hustler down the middle not all these little shrimps falling over all the time
Main concern I have is they can still use English as a first language or we will be in trouble.

There's something very wrong at Sunderland. They chuck money at players to try and make them happy about living in Sunderland but ultimately, it doesn't work.
I think he'll be happy and settled living in a normal place and only having to travel to Sunderland once a season. Hopefully this will bring out the best in him

So you'd get rid of our best natural goalscorer (when given a chance) and keep someone who never shoots????

My brother, his wife and a load of mates are season ticket holders at the stadium of s***e and all are over the moon and getting him out.
Useless lump
No effort
Bad attitude
Just three of the more polite replies I've had

Must admit I am shocked by Pards on this one, but he knows what he is doing.

Where were you at QPR

What do they expect when the bloke has to live in Sunderland?

Yeah like we will sell for less than what we paid for him just a few months after he signed a contract extension

Fee rumored up here is 9 million plus add ons, personally think you's are mad if you think he's worth that but on the other hand it will be another mugging we have gave Pardew

More like £6m+ add-ons, less than you paid for him.

How did Pardew get on the last time his team played you?

You clearly are. It's £6m rising to £8m. He's unlikely to make all the bonuses and you paid £8m for him so you're making a loss. And that loss is our gain.

Oh, and you can't keep just staying up by your fingertips every year. Eventually your luck will run out and then it's bye bye mackems

A gamble IMHO. Could go either way, obviously I'm hoping for the best. We need a proven striker that it is ready to go straight into the side and add to our qualities up front and give different options. Bamford will provide that but Wickham I'm not sure on. Seems at this stage he is just another option to flit in and out of the side. Hoping this works out.

Apparently he's just been spotted in Sainsbury's car park, what he's doing there this time of night who knows?
