It's always promising when Sky start reporting it; fingers crossed.

Sky now saying that QPR hope that the signing of Ferdinand will convince Caulker to join them.

Tim Cahill, Ross McCormack (couple years ago) etc etc etc

We been here, I trust the owners but believe nothing till its done.

All I hope is that we can rub the smugness out of QPR - seeing tweets like "ill be astonished despite reports if Caulker chooses Palace over us (aka QPR)".. I hate that club so much..

Caulker needs to look at the bigger picture. He will learn more about the art of defending from TP than Harry Pissflap and Plug Ferdinand together. Two seasons under TP and he will be a top class International defender. The Queer Park Strangers are a circus.

Why would caulker want to play with Ferdinand for probably only one year when he could be playing with Scott Dann and them two could be potential England centre backs. I'm sure Tony will persuade him

This is making me hate rio ferdinand even more. If he and qpr convince caulker i will hate qpr until the day i die! Or until they're relegated whichever comes first.

If Caulker chooses running around all day trying to cover the lack of pace of a 36 year old has-been -- no matter how great he might have been a decade ago -- for a team with a manager who has at most a year left on the clock and all that for a club that went up through back door and has had a disaster for a dressing room -- still manned by Joey Barton -- for over 24 months now then good luck to him. In that case, he would not be the player for us. I might feel threatened if Swansea or even Hull or Villa were in there for him because they might provide some competition for our offer. Only an idiot would choose QPR over us right now and if Caulker's an idiot then good riddance. Being annoyed by QPR's behaviour is like imagining Charlton are a rival. They're simply irrelevant. The only players who would go there are the likes of Rio -- 36 year old has-beens who have simply got no interest from any other credible team. Has anyone else noticed the distinct lack of a queue forming at Rio's door? And it's not like he hasn't stalled on signing for QPR in the hope that someone else, better, showed up.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

It's all well and good talking up the virtues of our manager, philosophy and club, but at the end of the day it's going to come down to who has made the most attractive offer
