Wilf's brother Judicael Boris Rodrigue Inchaud to give him his full name describes himself as a football agent which might give a clue as to why he's poking his nose in If i had a name like that i'd describe myself as an anagram!

The fact that Arsenal not only offered a derisory sum but want to pay over 5 years is proof it's done purely to unsettle Wilf. Was under the impression he wanted CL football though which Arsenal missed out on so why the sudden 'Zaha pushing the move' headlines ?

"Think about all Wilfred has given Crystal Palace" Think about how you've sponged from what Crystal Palace has given your brother.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Have heard nothing from Wilf so reserving judgement until he says something. However, my hunch is that he's pissed off after SP said we would only sell one of him or AWB this summer and it has ended up not being him. I don't believe for a minute he would refuse to train as he knows he would be tarnishing his status as a club legend. His brother is a complete w***er for those comments. We've built Zaha from the ground up twice and paid him handsomely for it so owe him nothing.

This would have the added benefit of minimising the sell-on fee owed to Man U.

Who cares what Arsenal think? This is about us. £55m upfront would be £40m to us. The clause would mean we get less than we got for AWB. Wilf is a proven PL forward, unlike AWB who is learning his trade (albeit he does look set for a bright future). Hazard had one year left on his contract, is older than Wilf and the deal to Madrid was worth 130m. Wilf is not as good as Hazard, but given he has 4-years left on his contract and is younger I would say he's definitely worth at least 80m on that basis. I get that every player has a price, but we shouldn't be bullied into one that makes no business sense for the club. Your suggestion makes you sound like Arsenal's accountant. I hear you but you're missing the point by taking a small amount of text and dismissing about him being unsettled and losing value over a season. The 25% is our own error in negotiations with Man Utd and no ones else's problem. I get we want more to cover the 25% deduction, but it likely won't work that way in the end. Parish signed the paperwork knowing this day would come. Your Hazard comment isn't really relevant in regards to the elite level of the clubs doing the deal and him playing European & international football for nearly a decade at the highest level. I don't want him to go, he is our best ever player and the driving force behind our sides success over the last 5-6 seasons. We need him. What if Parish says to Zaha 'No, you're not off unless we get £80M' Zaha turns around and says 'Okay, well I'm going on strike for the rest of the season until we accept a bid from Arsenal' What do we do? We have an asset worth £80M, agreed, but no clubs are interested at that price and he sits out a season decreasing in value. Arsenal will give us £50M now and whatever add ons you like. IT'S A MYTHICAL FINANCIAL SCENARIO We don't know Zaha or what he's thinking of doing. Blimey !

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle We just need to smoke out the very best bid that's lurking for him (from whoever) and decide what to do about it. We need to make plans for next season & can't while there's all this speculation. I wouldn't accept £100m, personally. But easiest thing in the world for me to say. And I'm bothered about his knee.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

We just need to smoke out the very best bid that's lurking for him (from whoever) and decide what to do about it. Unlike most transfer windows when there is loads of speculation about various clubs wanting to buy him this time it has been very quiet with just Arsenal bidding tuppence ha'penny. Where are all of the usual suspects?
