Rubbish. That's just the narrative Johnson wants you to swallow. Parliament, quite rightly, doesn't trust Johnson to not do something underhand to thwart their will. They may well pass a deal he brings back. I still see that as a real possibility. A slightly tweaked version of the May deal. If they refused then my ire would join yours. Literally you just said it would be May's deal.

No wonder people get angry with him when people like you cannot fathom the reality of what life must be like for MPs just trying to do their job.
....and yes you can save me the boring lecture of an MP's role If they choose to ignore their electorate then they shouldnt be shocked when people start getting irate with them.

Yet another Commons defeat for 'the incredible hulk'. That's 7-0. Cross-party support? Now? Do me a favour......

Populism = what people want That's why it's popular Edited by W12 (26 Sep 2019 2.55pm) Quite. Saw some Remainer Retard being interviewed about Corbyn and he was defending him by saying that the reason JC was not popular was that he was not doing populist things. Surely the point of a democracy is that you do popular things? Like enacting the votes of 52% of people who voted for Leave? That is why their stance of a second referendum with Remain as an option is so insane. If the first one has been ignored then why should a second have any credibility what so ever? That is the madness and the stupidity of the Remainer side. Support the Lib Dem position of Revoke because that is the one that is credible. Parliament does not have to take any notice of a referendum. Advisory only. And by ignoring the one held on June 23rd, all subsequent ones become farcical. Doing far more harm than good because nobody will accept the outcome if it does not suit. That ship will have well and truly sailed. Democracy is, when all is boiled down, a 'populist' method of choosing how we are governed. Ignore that and you are left with dictatorship.

Populism is dictatorship. For some unfathomable reason, people persist in needing and believing that someone, often a complete dickhead, is going to solve all their problems, no matter how ridiculous. Of course Hitler comes to mind, but at least Germans had serious problems. Nowadays they just make it all up. Like those we recognise as dictators they just ignore the electors anyway and are frequently not elected. But the public just roll over can't face that they have been had again. Until the next liar comes along for them to hero-worship.

Labour MP just stood up in parliament and claimed that people voted for Brexit because of austerity. How out of touch are these people?
