This is a pretty scary post. It's further evidence, if any is really needed, of just how irresponsible and dangerous Johnsons's tactics are. To use the level of disrespect and divisive language in such a clearly prepared way just ramps up the hatred. For him to then describe himself as a "one nation Tory" was quite extraordinary. This is a key moment in Tory party history. Will they allow themselves to morph into the ERG/Farage party in the same way the Republicans have morphed into the Trump party in the USA or will they resist.

Seems he chooses who he likes to get furious about. Blimey, I was not expecting that.

No wonder people get angry with him when people like you cannot fathom the reality of what life must be like for MPs just trying to do their job.

Nothing to do with them thwarting Brexit and doing the opposite of the large majority in their constituencies? They suddenly received threats yesterday afternoon? Get real.

I suspect you are making reference to Barry Sheerman who was a-boil akin to burning milk,self-combusting,hissing scowling and glaring with steam coming out of his ears. Yes I am in total agreement that "Betrayal" and "Surrender" are hardly examples of dangerous language. Not to the ears of anyone able to rationalise no, but to an already dangerous individual who believes themselves to be a patriot whose "rights" have been stolen they can easily be extremely dangerous and enough to tip them over the edge and into action. Politicians all need to be mindful that not everyone listening processes their words well.

Jo Cox should never have been mentioned....typical of the left wing media to turn that around onto Johnson. Those who seek to censor, seek to control language and hence punish its use. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Sep 2019 10.14am)

I'm loving seing all these snowflake lefties pretending to be angry with Johnson, hilarious. Thanks. Encapsulated in one short sentence are the reasons why Johnson's contemptuous rhetoric is so divisive. Capturing the Brexit party voters might be in the Tory party's interests but it isn't in the country's.

The key to Johnson's behaviour is financial pressure. If he doesn't deliver brexit on 31st October he and his hedge fund backers with their advanced betting will be short of 6.3 billion pounds. Imagine how much that is, and what it means for Johnson if he doesn't deliver. Now quite likely that he wont, how ironic that it will all be down to his nightmare premiership.
