No, brought by me, just observing what I think might happen and not necessarily what I would want to happen.

Germany is about to go into significant recession.

The EU economy is at a practical standstill.

Despite remainers constantly trying to talk down the UK economy we have been resilient.

Look at the choice of pictures from a smug picture of May to a stupid pose from Cummings, the BBC are trying to paint a picture with their choice of photos and it's so transparent.

Decided that there is no more point in getting bogged down in this. The ONLY thing that will settle it now is a General Election.

The timing of it can or will radically alter the outcome and so it's a fascinating and somewhat scary proposition. Likely very different GE results if:

We leave on 31st Oct without a deal (then surely the Brexit party is dead, so big Tory majority)

We leave on 31st with a deal (Voting dependent on perception of the deal)

We get another extension (Faith in Johnson will diminish hence higher Brexit Party vote and possibly Lab-Lib government)

If article 50 is revoked (Brexit likely topping polls, with Lab and Lid dem next highest)

I can only eat so many bags of popcorn.

LOL. It has certainly opened my eyes. I had always considered myself to be politically savvy but if you had told me on July 24th that we would still be in the EU and with people actively conspiring to maintain that state of affairs then I would have dismissed it as fantasy.

I bore myself now with this but it was an exercise in democracy that has never been bettered, at least in my life time. Huge turn-out, record number of votes cast and a winning margin that offered a clear winner. And with each vote counting for the same. No rotten boroughs or safe seats but just two piles of votes and the highest one winning.

Still you live and learn.

But it has to be ended. The only remaining method of bringing this to a close is a General Election. Parliament has failed to honour its promise and as such, it requires a reset.

Then perhaps we can start the process of forgiving the Remain side who refused to accept the result from June 23rd. It will be hard but it has to be done.

And no more referendums.

It isn’t semantics because unlawful and illegal have, as Becky highlighted, have different definitions. Had Johnson committed an illegal act he could go to prison. He didn’t. And once again he was acting on advice from the Attorney General.

I am no lawyer but this seems to me to be just a diversion which, as it makes no difference at all to the outcome of yesterday's decision, really is semantics.

I think you are wrong though. People can be sent to prison for unlawful acts, although it was never going to be appropriate in this case. I found this explanation:-

In brief; lawful and legal differ in that 'lawful' contemplates the substance of law [its content], whereas 'legal' alludes to the form of law [its form or appearance].

In effect it appears to make no difference to outcomes.

I'll never forgive the remain side because its them that have caused most of the crap we're going through at the moment by not honouring the democratic vote in 2016 and forcing no-deal off the table.

No matter what deal (if any) comes back, Corbyn, Swinson, Hammond and their mates will oppose it because Boris got it. It's got sod all to do with what's best for the country.

They remind me of the kid you see throwing a tantrum on the supermarket floor because they didn't get what they wanted.

They're all curnts.

German manufactured exports have benefitted from a weak euro for years.
