Well it looks like Ishmael is off the shortlist as West Brom seem to be closing in Also heard rumours of Cooper going to Fulham Maybe this is how our manager is gonna be selected, by a process of elimination outwith our control??!!

Excellent post Dazza and I for one have complete and utter faith in your reporting of the situation as you have been informed. In my opinion Favre would be a good appointment given his experience and age. I also have faith in SP and the board to make the right choice and within the financial parameters of the club ...... whatever that maybe! Yes the time is ebbing away until we resume training but this is Palace, nothing is ever straightforward!!

If Alan Nixon is right [Link] and we're throwing all our eggs into the Favre basket then I really hope it comes off as at this point you wonder where we'll go if he turns us down. On the positive side Nuno and Lucien both point to the ambitions the club must have as you don't aim for managers of their calibre if all you're looking for is to struggle for survival. I also notice that Ed Aarons posted this a few minutes ago... Understand that Crystal Palace have held talks with Lucien Favre and he is interested in taking over at Selhurst Park. But the former Borussia Dortmund manager also has other offers and interest (including from the Premier League) so has yet to take a decision on his future Come on man, sign on the dotted line!

I tried making a point about the horse racing world and 'being in the know' but it was a bit misunderstood. In short if a big stable had a good horse and a bad horse and a journalist or TV broadcaster asks them how good these horses are the higher up the food chain you are the more likely you will be told bullsh*t. Information is gleaned misinformation is put out - and that's what Dazza is getting from what I can gather. Make as many people as you can think the good horse is bad and it will go off at bigger odds. Likewise SP has his agenda, which will be a water tight secret, so any info put out is to put people off the scent or confuse rivals/competition for targets.

Everything he posts has been in the media or social media 24 hours previously. It doesn’t take a genius to work out where he gets his information.

The whole process has certainly proved challenging for Steve Parish. I suspect that if there are further setbacks, our esteemed Chairman will be tearing hair from his shampoo-advert mane.

Everything thats been served up as ITK intel has already been knocking around twitter as gossip well before its passed on here. No harm in it mind.

Hi All, it’s the attention seeking, sad person as many have said all cause I share information that recently has not been correct I get labelled all sorts. Just sums up society really, however you won’t deter me from sharing my info regardless of its right or wrong. I said the other day Favre will be announced & I’m still led to believe this will be the case & it will be a 3yr deal just like I said as I did with the others. Clearly palace are interested in a 3 yr deal. We will see if it happens but even the bookies are leaning this way now. No in to all the insults. Cheers Keep going Dazza - the majority are happy - the minority can continue to whine

Has Favre heard of The Crystals? That could tip the balance.

As others have said, Dazza's posts are a jocular diversion in the seemingly endless process of finding a new manger. What somewhat irritates is inference he is somehow " in the know " with a secret source. If he was a defendant in a trial he would be accused of " tailoring his evidence ". Harmless enough. I would his mole to reveal when the toilets in the Arthur will be improved. Edited by HKOwen (21 Jun 2021 4.15pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
