I have many Police friends. It is a totally thankless job in the modern world with so little support from management. Many just give up and move on to different careers whereas it was a job for life up until the noughties. They are not there to be politically correct, they are there to protect the public and maintain a lawful society within a democracy. The very fact that their roles as officers are being undermined is an indirect attack on our way of life and it can only end in a large scale breakdown of acceptable/civilised behaviour. We either crack down on it now or we just accept that it’s ok for part of society to commit vandalism, hurt other people, peddle drugs, drive without any licence or insurance,, carry weapons etc etc, the list goes on. As a law abiding citizen I’m sick of it.

As a "Law abiding citizen" as well, I too am sick of the Police being undermined as a consequence of those playing the 'Race card' and claiming victimhood. Police having to apologise for stopping a black couple irate at the fact they were stopped as they were looking "Suspicious". Clearly NO "Non-black" people have been stopped for the same reason!!!!

Thank you Willo, I feel pretty strongly about the ongoing demise of our police service.

All that dancing around at the crime-ridden Notting Hill carnival, 'Taking the knee' etc etc. The Police's role is to enforce the law and not 'Perform' in such a manner in acts of appeasement and veneration. Haven’t seen a full video without text all over it but this does look she was getting this all ready after being stopped and then driving away at speed. Can’t believe that after knowing that and the windows are blacked out or tinted that this is even in the news, but that’s what this summer has done to people. Will be good to see the police dashcam footage after the bollox has been all legally dealt with.

Linford Christie has had a number of successful compensation claims against the police over the years and I am not saying they weren't valid. However I wonder if his students may have been inspired ?

Section 163 of the 'Road Traffic Act 1988' requires a person to stop when asked to do so by the Police and anyone who fails to do so is guilty of an offence. If I was in this position, I would gladly pull my vehicle over with immediate effect and co-operate with the Police in a civilised manner.

Over the top reaction to the police. As for Keir Starmer, he admits he does not know what happened, just leave it then

I expected more from the government in office, we have had ten years of these inept, useless rabble, and the country is falling apart, what on earth has gone wrong? How many years are you expected to give a government to get things right? Policemen dancing at carnivals, kneeling at the drop of a pin, running away outside our great house of democracy from about 15 teenage middle class girls and boys? What on earth has gone wrong in the past 10 years under the CONS?

Sounds as though you want them to drop all this drivel and concentrate on traditional Tory values. This is socialism through the back door, i never dreamed i would see it from the CONS, but Boris is further to the left than Blair, who admittedly wasn"t to the left at all, but dancing policemen? Police officers bending down for the crowd? Running from a few public school kids? Even Jeremy Corbyn must have a smile on his face, this lot have shifted further to the left than even he would have had the gall to do, given that the majority prefer a shift to the right, people like yourself teddy must be pulling your hair out! I haven"t posted on here much about the political stuff lately because i feel the CONS are digging their own hole, no need to stick the knife in! Ten years is a good enough time to have expected things to change for the better, not falling apart!
