I've read every comment on this thread so far and everyone has there opinions but all I hope for is a manager that is successful. Whoever we get we need to back them to the hilt from day one. Get behind him, show him our passion. SP has all of our interests at heart and a hard decision ahead of him. Whoever it is we need to give him our support. So roll on next week because the decision is out of our hands.........unless it's Woy, he can f*** off.
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

Please god, not Ranieri! He's now the bookies favourite, if we get the tinker man I fear for us.

The managers that have been favourite with the bookies are:- Mancini, dyche, hodgson, pellergino, de Boer , ranieri and Marco silva. I'm probably missing some aswell.

It's look like a 4 manager shortlist going by the odds but they can never be accurate, considering dyche was 1/5 on was Thursday. Ranieri- (7/4) - managed 2 prem clubs in lcfc and cfc , won the prem league title. Age is 65. Not the long term appointment parish mentioned. Also never shown consistency. Known as the the tinker man. Would he want a bigger squad. Knows Jeff schlupp after managing him at lcfc. Sean Dyche- (2/1) managed 2 seasons in the premiership, one ended in relegation and the other in survival. Would suit the long term solution that parish mentioned. Only 1 away win last season at not so fortress selhurst. Could he attract big names? No. He's been proven at times to loyal to his players and stickler for 442. Pellergino- (4/1) - first job in management sacked at Valencia. Was also sacked in his first job in his homeland. He done impressive things with alves . To take them to 9th and a cup final. He's hasn't had a managerial job , longer than 14 months. He's worked with sammy lee. I'm unsure what his style is but would he attract big names to Palace. F. De Boer - (6/1) Was successful in his homeland of holland winning 4 consecutive title, which is a record. Can he adapt to the palace way. I'm sure he could bring big names to Palace. Struggled at inter but is 14 games enough to judge him on. He's great at developing younger player. In which we all love to see the likes of Kai Kai and others given a shot. No prem experience is that a concern. If it was me choosing I'd go for de Boer but I think that Steve will choose dyche or ranieri just because of their experience of the division.

Erm yes.... Point I was making, it can sometimes be more circuitous when one has to deal with permission/compensation etc for those currently in employment.

Nine weeks until the whistle blows on the 17/18 season. Why does it always take Palace (Parish) so long to negotiate sh1t? I said before the start of last season that there seemed too much farting around and lack of rigour and as it turned out we p1ssed important early points up the wall that we were needing in the last few games of the season - because we wasn't ready. FFS, can someone make a F-King decision and employ a F-King manager and get this F-King preseason happening? Parish was partly to blame for Pardew's ineptitude and if he doesn't employ a manager soon if we F@ck-up our first few games AGAIN next season I'll be blaming that c@nt for his eternal habit of dithering. Missing Sam already he didn't waste time f@cking about. End of rant.

Perhaps it would be better if we rushed into the wrong appointment and had to get someone in after Christmas to dig us out of the relgation zone. Only next time it won't be Allardyce. If you think Parish is guilty of a lack of rigour in what he is doing at the moment then I think you will be gravely mistaken.
