Yes I put quotation marks in to show that it was copied and pasted. What is your point?

Clearly the AZ was not safe that's why they discontinued using it.

The fact that an ultra cautious approach and the availability of alternatives with even fewer rare side effects means that its use in the UK has effectively ceased.

Some other rich countries have taken the same approach but it continues to be used in the third world, where it was always intended for.

It just proves that the multi faceted approach to find the best performing vaccines was sensible.

From the telegraph:

"The AstraZeneca vaccine caused a small group of individuals to suffer catastrophic injury and bereavement.

To make this statement is not to dabble in anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, this is a fact, evidenced by the reports of clinicians, medical experts, and coroners across the UK.

For those who want to maintain a narrative that vaccines do no harm, the experience of the vaccine injured and bereaved constitutes an inconvenient truth."

The tide is turning

No one at all would argue that the tiny minority who suffer from any rare side effect of any treatment should not be compensated and well looked after.

It isn’t the point and it isn’t a reason to ignore the overwhelming benefits,

Why is so important that everyone believed in the reasons for lockdown?
Surely it's enough that they abided by the strictures imposed -unlike Johnson, Sunak, Ferguson, Cummings and dozens of Downing Street staff?

It isn’t and they clearly didn’t. Especially some in Downing St it seems.

You are right. What matters is when a path is chosen we all march down it together, despite any personal reservations.

You cannot fight a war if your troops can decide for themselves which path, or none, they will take to beat the enemy.

That's Brexit settled then. Happy marching.

Brexit was self inflicted damage that needed and still needs to be opposed. Not a war against an unseen enemy that impacts all of us in some way.

Arguing for rejoining is as valid now as arguing against the EU was pre Brexit.

So some paths chosen don't have to marched down. Just the approved ones. Got it.

We march together, under a unified command, when we face a common enemy.

When one group is thought to be forcing us down the wrong path that’s politics, not war.

Brexit was like losing the second set of a 5 set match after a close tie break, having won the first.

We are now battling for the third. This game is a long, long way from being over and when it is we will start another.

Brexit will not be an issue at the next GE. I think the public have far more concerns.

When Labour win Starmer will have to ask himself is it worth re-opening this can of worms when the public want him to focus on other things.

Politicians pay attention to focus groups and public opinion e.g. Blair. Starmer will only pick this particular scab if he thinks it's worth it and I see no appetite for it.

My guess is there maybe some minor technical changes with the EU but there is no political mileage. The UK has not collapsed the sun still rises and the EU is even talking about allowing Brits to use the EU passport channel.

Brexit was the best thing since the 1998 Gas Safety Act.
