In comrade Corbyn's latest ramblings, going for a pint after work discriminates against female employees. So never mind the fact that I was the gender minority in Revolution last night. Never mind the fact that us single parent dads like to be home for our kids. Long may he continue as labour leader And he is hosting a drinks reception for journalists tonight from 6 until 9 The bloke is like a 6th form prefect

The other reason and one I think has so far been underplayed, is that he is actually a really nasty piece of work.
Remember how when you where a kid and you got in trouble at school and the teacher said "well if Jimmy Jones told you to jump out the window would you?" and even before she had finished you were trying to undo the window. What if the media are owned by very rich people who don't want things to change and its in their interest to convince you to go against you interest and you only get your opinions from the paper? What then? You can criticize Corbyn for many many things, but a nasty piece of work? The MSM are seriously messing with your head. Meanwhile the Tory leader when asked if she would press the button and destroy millions of people and she doesn't even hesitate for a Milli-second before saying "yes" and you say what a lovely lady. What a lovely lovely lady. Your mind is just a blackboard upon which the MSM write the things you will hate at breakfast.

When I was at school I thought my mind was a blackboard because teachers kept throwing chalk and chalk dusters at my head. Ah the seventies.
It's good to keep an opened mind, but not so open that your brains fall out. |

It is 2016 and this is planet Earth. It is not the year 3000 and a Galaxy, far, far away. People can still formulate their own opinions and are not subconsciously controlled by the media. FFS........ give it a rest, you're worse than Bert The Head!

Clearly this was not what Jeremy was suggesting, he instead highlighted a concern among many women's groups and the head of the CBI that a male-led after-work networking culture in some workplaces can be detrimental to the career progression of female co-workers who can feel excluded, especially those women with caring responsibilities From the article.

What an idiot.... he NEVER thinks things through. He wants companies to ban after work drinks? How is he going to do this? Would he pass legislation to prevent some young carefree co workers going to a pub after work and having a bit of banter and winding down? Those who choose not to go to the pub do so because they would rather go home to their families... they are not discriminated against. Its a free choice... no one is forced to have kids and settle down. FFS.
